Just to quickly add my pushchair opinion, we have the duet and love it already. Did not get carrycots and newborn babes already look so very cosy as seats lay flat and cosy toes make it all snuggly - so carrycots not necessary. Manouvers brilliantly, fits through door ways and my halls! Not got car seat adapters as couldn't be faffed with it - babes will just have to get used to be moved about! Best bit is dd can sit on step at the front. Love it!
Oh and john Lewis price matched kiddicare when we got it.

Ok that's it.... hello everyone!

baileyslover · 18/05/2012 11:41

Halllooooo, hope everyone is having a good busy week Smile
Had a rough day yesterday and got a bit tearful. I am just so tired/lethargic and my DS gets bored then just cries or has tantrum after tantrum. I just don't feel like a very good mum at the moment and potentially have got weeks to go. Even then I won't be able to give him as much attention and I feel Sad for him

goingmadtrying · 19/05/2012 17:17

oh baileys how awful can totally sympathise i have had enough with 2 so can only imagine how it feels with 3 Hmm ds will be fine and im sure we will feel a little better when we don't have the joys of pg to deal with,im under no illusion its going to be hard though!!
loving being off work took ds1 to a football tournament today which he would not have been able to do if i was working, achy legs now though, going to baby show tomorrow to hopefully order pushchair, im 99% sure im going to get the bugaboo donkey, lets just hope ill not regret it i do think it will be the right one for me, my pampers welcome pack came today im thinking of getting hospital bag ready in the next week or so,

hope all ladies, babies and bumps are doing well enjoy the rest of the weekend Grin Grin

rednellie · 19/05/2012 18:37

Oh baileys, I'm so sorry you had a down day, we've all been there. I think the thing I find hardest about having twins and a DD is feeling guilty about DD and that at the end of pregnancy I was so useless at looking after her. Of course, I wasn't, but that's how it felt to me. It didn't matter how many people tell you you're doing brilliantly and that as long as your DC is with you they really don't care about being taken to 100 and 1 activities, you still feel crap for not having the energy to do those things.

Give yourself a break, you're doing great and will do brilliantly once the babies are here. I'm actually finding it easier than I was thinking it was going to be - mind you, I do have a very active imagination and after reading all those multiples books that say 'you can't possibly survive without tonnes of help' and knowing that I was going to be doing it on my own (during the day) I was envisaging total hell. It's not been total hell, I haven't murdered anyone (yet) and we all seem to be relatively clean and well fed! Grin

Also - Karen Gromada in her amazing book, Mothering Multiples, reminds parents with older DC that a lot of behaviour we attribute to acting out due to the babies is actually just normal developmental stages for toddlers/teenagers etc, i.e. they would be doing it anyway, whether we'd got pregnant or not. I can't remember how old your DC is, but mine's 2 and apparently being a total pain in the arse is completely normal. Wink

goingmad - GO FOR IT! It looks like a lovely buggy. And enjoy the baby show...gives me images of lots of little babies all in a row with rosettes...ahhhh.

DreamingOfPeace · 19/05/2012 19:36

Baileys we've definitely all been there in the pregnancy with no energy and a Duracell style toddler (those of us with toddlers that is!) . You will be doing amazingly. Just keep going! Incidentally my rl friend had her triplets on 4th May. Lily, Dylan and Jude, 3lb1, 5lb 3 and 4lb 13, at term (36 weeks) no special care needed, all in for 11 days then home. Fx you have a great delivery too.

DreamingOfPeace · 19/05/2012 19:37

Rosettes rednellie Grin Grin

baileyslover · 19/05/2012 22:00

dreaming that sounds fantastic, only in hospital for 11 days wow! Consultant still plans for a CS at 32/33 weeks and doesn't know she has a battle in her hands if no clear medical need for those dates Grin
Thanks everyone for your support. I guess part of me thinks I am just being useless, but I know I am not.
Saw a friend last night who is due a week after my due date and I had reverse bump envy. I can't remember being that tiny! Made me realise how quickly my body has had to deal with the change. I wasn't really showing at 13 weeks and now 10 weeks later I am measuring 7 1/2 months!
Finish work 1 month today. Keeping DS with the childminder 3 days a week and hopefully getting a homestart volunteer for a few hours when DS is home to help entertain him.

goingmadtrying · 20/05/2012 07:57

baileys lovely to hear you sounding more positive :) yay for only 1 month left at work, and the plan about childminder and homestart sounds a good one. totally agree with you regarding bump size i have one friend a week ahead and 1 a couple of weeks behind and im by far huge!!! i saw someone yesterday who said "your not as big as i thought??" i said im only 29 weeks which was met with a shocked look and a big "oooohhhh" lol feel for you with 3 little wriddlers, have you started to feel them move yet??

thanks rednellie quite excited about baby show and will now look forward to rows of babies with rossettes lol Grin

Lilyni · 20/05/2012 10:58

hi everyone - sorry i havent posted in AGES. had my little girls on friday morning by csection - both were breech and i was 3cm dilated at my 36wk appt so they admitted me on thurs pm. they are scarlett (5lb 10) and connie (6 lb 3). their blood sugar levels were low after birth so they had to start on a bottle. we are also getting home today thankfully! sorry for selfish post. hope everyone is well!

goingmadtrying · 20/05/2012 16:37

i went to the baby show and brought a lot more than i planned Blush got some lovely freebies though and as went with my mum got free disabled parking, so only cost me petrol as my local baby shop gave me free tickets :

Just like to add my congratulations as well Lilyni. Lovely names and good weights for 36 weeks. Hope they are home soon xx

going been feeling movements for a couple of weeks. More so the top alibi and girl as their placentas are fundal or posterior. Most nights I can feel bottom girl, but more internally as she has an anterior placenta. Soooo reassuring to feel movements though Smile
Feel really lazy this pm, first afternoon of cleaner starting, DS is having a nap and I am chilling out mumsnetting on my bed while she is working away downstairs Blush
Amy one heard anything from scollister at all? Hope all is ok as she was due to have her twins a few weeks ago and we haven't heard anything Confused

baileyslover · 21/05/2012 14:38

Sorry that should read boy not alibi, cursed phone!

scollister · 21/05/2012 17:28

Hallo ladies! Sorry about the silence - had my hands full :)
Willow and Daisy arrived by c-section 3rd May weighing 6lbs 3oz and 6lbs 4oz. Both are well and we were discharged after 2 nights in hospital.
Will log on later for full update - on our way home from collecting a pushchair, am very disorganized but blissfully happy! Love to u all xxx

goingmadtrying · 21/05/2012 18:14

yay congratulations scollister more little girlies to add to our brood,.excellent weights and such beautiful names 2 nights after c section is fab, and your totally allowed to be disorganised :) thanks for popping on with the update Grin

baileyslover · 21/05/2012 19:51

Wow scollister that is a bit spooky Smile
Great news about the girls, thanks for letting us know xx

DreamingOfPeace · 21/05/2012 19:55

Oh, how lovely to come and read on here about scollisters Willow and Daisy and lilynis Connie and Scarlett. Congratulations to you both now can we have a picture please?!

lilyni, how are your boys taking to their little sisters?

Hope you both have great CS recoveries.
Thanks Thanks Thanks

And goingmad, amazing bargains, well done you.

Baileys, yes, I was amazed none of her triplets went to special care, she did so well and my friend saw her in the park with her abc everest and bike attachment for her 2 year old 4 days after they got out of hospital!

rednellie · 21/05/2012 21:29

Well done scollisters, love the names.

evening ladies 29+2 today and had a consultant appointment, all looking good babies growing nicely and in proportion t1 weighs 3lb 2oz and t2 weighs 3lb 5oz, fluids all good, placenta is now classed as high so all on track for normal delivery :) the funny thing today is that the girls have completely switched places!!, t1 has always been on the right but is now laying on the left, both girls head down however t2 was doing somersaults :)next appointment at 32 weeks due to bank hols, she is happy with the growth so happy to leave it 3 weeks, my induction will be booked in at that appointment it will either be 11th or 18th July if the girls hold on. sorry for the me post just quite relieved to get this far Grin

hope everyone is doing ok Grin Grin

baileyslover · 23/05/2012 19:03

going not surprised you are relieved to get to 29 weeks, I certainly feel it is a big milestone for any high risk pregnancy. Sorry for sounding dim, Blush but how do you know the girls have switched places? I have no idea whichgirl is which, just assume mine are staying put.
Not sure but think you are the next one due? We will be bereft of babies for a few weeks if that is the case Smile
I am 23 weeks today and have scan on Friday, so will update in sizes then, when do they start assessing by weight?

goingmadtrying · 23/05/2012 20:08

the consultant has said that the lowest twin has always been t1 however she is now laying on completely the opposite side, i think my consultant first started printing it on my paperwork from around 24 weeks its a formula of the hc, ac and fl. ask next time you go,
thank you gosh 24 weeks that's gone so quick!!!! time flies when your having fun eh?? lol

the sunshine has turned me into a michelin man all swollen and puffy!! nice :)

baileyslover · 25/05/2012 13:32

Growth scan today, all growing well, measuring at least 50th percentile so sonographer happy. First time of weight being mentioned, 560g, 640g and 660g so all over 1lb Grin Scary to think we want them 4 times heavier before they arrive, I am starting to realise quite how colossal I will get.

Had the joys of DS vomit bug on Wed night. Finally got to sleep around 1am so was shattered yesterday.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sunshine x

goingmadtrying · 25/05/2012 21:43

wow baileys a whole 3lb of babies :) glad scan went well :) hope ds is feeling better and your feeling a little less tired today.

well i am very excited as my new pushchair came today Grin Grin i haven unpacked it yet but all looks good, can't wait to push my girlies around in it :)

happy weekend everyone Grin

baileyslover · 28/05/2012 14:54

Hi guys, had a bit of a eventful morning. Felt really light headed in Morrison's, they called the paramedics out and I ended up in the air ambulance into A&E! Apparently my heart rate was 250bpm and my BP was through the floor. I was reclining on a member of Morrison's staff, oxygen ECG and the lot. Heart rate settled pretty quickly but because of my 'condition' they wanted me checked out, so I am now sitting in ICU for a few hours Blush Think I will be going home later, still have no food though. Aaarrgh course this had to happen 2 days after my DH has gone overseas for a 2 week work trip.
