Weight gain at 15weeks and 2 days; normal??

I am 15 weeks+2 days gone, 1st pregnancy and I am feeling very uncomfortable with my weight gain so far.
Here's the history: I am 5'2", age 35, am normally a size 8 (though I have to exercise to stay in shape as I'm susceptible to putting weight on quite easily).
I have had 2 mc's; one bad one in 2009 which occured at 12 weeks and one in 2010 which happened very early on at nearly 5 weeks.

The first trimester of this pregnancy for me was a very sicky one - had quite bad morning sickness and I ended up eating a lot more carbohydrate-based food than I would have normally done. I didn't exactly hold back on cake treats around Xmas time and even now, I am really craving sweet stuff for the first time ever so I'm having choccie covered raisins and at around 4ish I'm caving in to a piece of toast and jam - all new additions to my previous diet from when I wasn't pregnant.

Just these past few days I am feeling very thick, round, have lost my waist and ....well...I'm just feeling a bit...bleugh.

I'm only just past 15weeks and wasn't really expecting to have noticed a change by now. What have other women experienced? Is it "normal" to start showing at 15 and a bit weeks?

Or have I just got FAT?????????????????????

Thank you in advance for the replied that I'll surely receive and thank you for taking the time to read this.

i have been lucky enough to be blessed with 5 children and i had really bad morning sickness with my twins and my girl. can tell you weight gain at this point in normal and cravings start whenever i craved tomatoes from week 5. pregnancy is the best time to not worry bout gaining weight i had twins and was back in a size 10 within 5 weeks with a lil help from pilates. enjoy your pregnancy and congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm quite small too and started to show quite early - my midwife said it was because I was short, there was nowhere for the baby to go except from out!

Perfectly normal.

Eat what and when you need to, and remember that there's a reason why women aren't routinely weighed at ante-natal appointments any more - it tells you nothing :)
