This is my 2nd pregnancy and i tred to book NCT with 1st but course was too full, so dh and i did a couples course of 3 evenings that a friend recommended. The only thing was that the day before session 2 Ds was born. We obviously missed that one but took him with us to the 3rd (a surprise for the other couples!)
But i never got to know any of them and no one stayed in touch (which was an important factor, meeting other mums-to-be)

Is anyone on their 3rd pregnancy and did a refresher last time?
Just wndered what peoples thoughts were and wondered if they were worth it/in demand atall.

I did the refresher session offered by our local maternity hospital and it was surprisingly good. It was quite a big group, some with partners and some without. The main thing was working out what was good about your previous birthing experience(s) and how you could do these again and what wasn't positive and how you/they could work to make that not happen again. Because it was a group session people were then able to make suggestions from their own experiences and it was all very positive and helpful.

I did - but we really didn't attend many classes 1st time round and I had a c-section with dd1. I attended the classes on giving birth etc but none of the parenting aspects - been there done that.

Found it helpful although I ended up with a c-section again!! Will not be going for a third time if I happen to have another.
