Oh my word, would you look at that! Top of the list!
This is all beginning to feel a bit strange, I can see my due date looming on the horizon! I'm so jealous of you Flick, being able to get your baby's room all kitted out - I've warned DH that I'll probably go into labour the day we complete and will be absolutely no help at all!
Theoretically, if all goes well, we could move in 4 or 5 weeks... but when does a house sale & purchase ever go smoothly?! (it hasn't done so far!) And would that give me time to do anything anyway? We're in Shepherd's Bush at the moment, moving out further west (but still on the tube!) Are you a London girl yourself?
Congrats Empusa!

Lovely news, hope you are enjoying snuggles with little Toby & you're all doing well.
Pearly and Beeble, hang in there, you'll get to the 12-week mark soon enough
(and then zoom! you'll be staring your due date in the face like me!). I think you're ever so brave to get a doppler - having had a mc at 9 weeks, I was in such a state the next time around I think it wouldn't have been helpful to use something like that without a medical professional in attendance! Whatever gets you through it though, the heartbeat is a great milestone in itself.
So, my work have just recruited my maternity leave cover and he starts at the beginning of my last week so we can do a handover... it feels so strange! I am, of course, slightly paranoid that they'll like him more than me, that they'll be disappointed when I come back, blah blah
Only 5 more weeks to go, it's so weird!
BTW, I have been doing Tara Lee's Pregnancy Health Yoga DVD - I've been doing yoga for ages and didn't want to stop, and this is such a good DVD. Even if you've never done yoga before it would be good. It has some lovely relaxation, restoration and breathing practices, I do recommend it. I've also got the Natal Hypnotherapy CD which I saw recommended on another MN thread. This is good for the weeks running up to the birth - a colleague of mine who had her baby 2 weeks ago said she found it really helpful. It's not going to make the whole thing like 'sneeze & there's your baby', but I figure if it only helps a little bit (and, let's face it, we don't know at all how it's going to go) then it's worth doing. (And maybe it's being absorbed into the bump & I'll get a little zen baby who is chilled out & sleeps!
