Hello! I'm pregnant with DC1, due in march and moving to Hastings in December. Would be good to get to know some people in the area. Grin

Hi Carlita, there's a really good pregnancy group called 'Bumps for Lunch' that meets every tuesday from 12-1.30 at The Bridge Community Centre cafe in Priory Road, which is up towards Ore. You get free lunch too!! Smile

Grin great! Thanks hogwarts we've driven past the bridge a few times Si I know where it is, I shall definitely pop down once we move! Do most people go with someone they know or will people talk to me? Smile

Most people turn up on their own, or occasionally with a friend if they know someone else who is pregnant. I've only seen a father there once, it's mainly women. Everyone is really friendly so don't worry - you'll have plenty of people to talk to. There is also a community midwife and a breastfeeding counsellor/nursery nurse who go along and are happy to chat or answer any questions you might have.

There are other things going on there on tuesdays too. There's an under 1s group starting soon, and a breastfeeding support group, and at the moment there's a free pregnancy yoga course which I would really recommend (it runs in 6 week blocks at different venues around the town so you'd have to find out where the january course will be held).

Hope to see you there soon! Grin
