Hi all, i'm expecting a little boy on 17th Feb and I'm new on here so hello!

Are any of you having problems sleeping? It's 5.55 now and I've been awake for about 2 hours already. Nearly tired enough to go back to bed but not quite.... This has been happening about every 3rd night although the last 3 nights I've been up. There's nothing that obviously precipitates it (I'm up a bit with him kicking / needing a wee etc but usually manage to sleep again). I guess it's good practice for after he's born but I could do without! Thankfully not working any longer or it would be awful but I could do with some sleep!!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Alice & welcome to the site. Sorry to hear of your sleep problem but it seems to be pretty common. I'm due in Jan (and also expecting a very active boy) and things are only just beginning to calm down for me (fingers crossed) so hopefully yours might soon too. It's a right PITA isn't it
I find that a warm bath, about an hour before bed, closely followed by a milky drink helps me sleep more soundly. Also make sure that you & bump are well supported with plenty of pillows. Sorry I can't be of more help but hope that by bumping your thread you may get some more useful replies! Good Luck

Hey thanks for your helpful comments! Much appreciated and I'll definately give the bath and hot milk a go. Good luck to you and your little boy and Happy Christmas! x
