Have fun at the festival wing we went to camp bestival a couple of weeks ago it was fab. It's meNt to be 30 degrees here today!! Got my suncream on ready I've learnt my lesson!

Hi frying yay for docs appointment and good blood pressure. yes limbo isn't it. My last midwife appointment was 16 weeks and next isn't til 24 weeks I think!

Hooray for all the new BFP's can't wait to meet them all! Grin

somethingwittynot · 18/08/2012 11:41

heard this babys heartbeat last night and heard them moving around but as the same time i heard them moving i felt it and it made me jump! Grin

Practisingparent · 18/08/2012 21:54

Hi all!! am very excited to be here, its like the Holy Grail of threads! Just got my BFP this morning, and has been a great day. I did a CB digi (3rd test of the day) which said I was 2-3 weeks.

Seeing my parents tomorrow, so will prob end up telling them, as they will question me declining wine Blush. Had a white wine spritzer last night ( but that was before I knew so does not count, right?)

So lovely seeing everyone here, will try reading back a couple of pages to try and catch up with all your news. Im hoping for less obsessing, more sitting back with cake, now the hard work is over! Hmm

Practisingparent · 18/08/2012 21:57

something so exciting you can feel the flutters already, thought that did not happen till about 16 weeks, you must be ultra sensitive!

somethingwittynot · 18/08/2012 22:10

im on my 2nd so things happen earlier and theres only a 4 month gap between pregnancies!

Dysgu · 18/08/2012 22:10

Hello everyone, I am going to be brave enough to post here now that our BFP from Thursday has sunk in (a bit - still seems a bit surreal!)

We went to see the Chris and Pui Roadshow today in Southsea - girls loved it but I was so hot and tired! It was great and I know it was a hot day so that could be the reason for hotness. We even ended up getting a taxi halfway through the walk back to the hover craft terminal - was only in the taxi for about 3 minutes but I was just too hot and tired!

I have never been at this stage of pregnancy at this time of year before so I am looking forward to it getting a bit cooler.

How is everyone else over here?

fryingpantoface · 18/08/2012 23:29

Hey!

My son has given me a cold, so I'm feeling pathetic. Already some clothes are tight because I'm bloated (I'm only just 4 weeks) and I'm roasting so the fan is on.

I'm just so hard core.

Poi does my head in, don't mind Chris though

tiredteddy · 19/08/2012 08:01

Morning all!

Congratulations dysgu nice to see you over here! Are we waiting for anyonelse to make it over? I'm also struggling in the heat. I tend to get headaches when it's really hot. And my lack of energy is massive! Chris and poi though I love them! Cool!

Hi frying how are you today? Still hot too! I was bloated from very early on this time. I ended up wearing my maternity trousers at 7 weeks Blush

Hi something lovely that your feeling flutters that's great. I think we are more tuned in to what it is we can feel. I had flutters at 13 weeks and now getting proper kicks and wiggles.

tiredteddy · 19/08/2012 08:03

Oops done it again.

Congratulations practising great to have you over here! Wine before you know totally doesn't count just like the chocolate calories don't count now as they are for the baby!

mandasand · 19/08/2012 10:46

Hello and big cheers for newly graduated frying! Amazing you got the BFP so soon Smile I had I think three periods before BFP after coming off my POP injection-then-pill and I thought that was quick after learning it might take a year!

Welcome and more cheers for practising and dysgu!!! Must be something in the water over on the undergraduate thread! Yippee!

Hey wing, I guess one +ve about CS is that how to put this in a delicate way? I will have to do fewer pelvic exercises afterwards to get back to something like normal! Has to be good for our sex life!

Am amazed you can feel baby move so early, something!

And jealous of your 'proper kicks and wiggles', tired! How far along are you now? I want to get to that stage! Or, rather, I just want to get through next Saturday's scan with everything looking good. Hospital sent me a 'Downs Syndrome etc tests for multiple pregnancies' booklet which was a bit sombre reading ? pretty please, universe, let them be okay!

So, parents and my brother are delighted! Took a while for it to sink in as we were in the pub, there was a lot of banter, and there was just a lot of general disbelief, but soon there were hugs and M&D planning a baby fund to help us with the essentials and Mum deciding she wanted to be a Nan and Dad planning the purchase of two MCFC football strips! It came as something of a shock, as they were sure we wouldn't be having a family, what with my devotion to my book-writing, our age, and my past history, but they are chuffed to bits! Have warned mother she cannot post anything on FB as I haven't told my boss yet. I think she understands, but she really isn't very FB literate so we shall have to see. I spent Friday afternoon with them, taking them to a garden centre for tea and cake etc, and it was really hard being normal and trying to fit into my old trousers. But then after we told them in the pub that night I could get into my floaty clothes and be a bit of a diva, sitting on the sofa asking mum to make a pan of her lovely soup etc Smile

somethingwittynot · 19/08/2012 12:09

scan tomorrow!!!!!! Grin

then consultant on tuesday am excited for that as ill know my birth options will make me feel more organised

fryingpantoface · 19/08/2012 16:58

Woo! Good luck tomorrow!

WingDefence · 19/08/2012 18:45

Manda, I do hope MCFC doesn't stand for what I think it does or you and I may not be friends any more have to ban any talk of footy on here!! So glad your parents took it well, I bet when you said it was twins too they were beside themselves! Well done Grin

Good luck tomorrow Something!

ChildOfThe1980s · 19/08/2012 20:29

Congrats Practicing and Dysgu ! :)

I had a lot of bleeding on Thursday so went to A&E that night. They checked and my cervix was closed, but said there was still a threat of MC due to the blood. I bled a bit more on Friday, so by yesterday morning knew that I would be losing it. I bled through my clothes yesterday, and said goodbye to the baby. Then I passed baby so we will be burying it in our back garden and planting something in memory.

We have had the scan moved to tomorrow, so I get to see if I have the joys of a D&C to look forward to. I am pleased that we get to keep the baby (it is clearly human, though only an inch or so in length). Also it's hardly a surprise due to the dodgy sac.

Not sure when we'll be trying for another one as this has been a very stressful month and I don't look forward to going through it all again.

I wish you guys all the best and I've enjoyed being on here. x

fryingpantoface · 19/08/2012 20:34

Oh Child, I'm so sorry. So very sorry.

tiredteddy · 19/08/2012 20:39

I'm desperately sorry for your loss child sending many gentle hugs x

WingDefence · 19/08/2012 21:05

Oh gosh Child I'm so terribly sorry :( I can't imagine what you and your husband have gone through and what you are going through at the moment.

Of course this is an awful, stressful time for you. Take your time to recover from all of this and I pray you heal physically and mentally soon Wine Flowers xx

ChildOfThe1980s · 19/08/2012 21:08

Thank you - I am feeling up and then down; at peace like it was meant to be; and then sorrow like I'll never have another.

I know Baby is safe in Heaven though, and we'll meet one day.

mandasand · 19/08/2012 22:54

Hello Child - I was so sorry to learn of your news on the March 2013 thread. I posted a message to you there but, just in case it's too painful to go back and look, just to say take good care of yourself, give yourself lots of time to grieve and get your strength back after a really trying few weeks, and here's hoping that you have some really good news to share with us before too many months pass. I know it must be too soon to think of trying again now, but I hope the future brings you joy. I think it's a really wonderful idea to plant something in memory of your lost baby.

tiredteddy · 20/08/2012 07:49

Good luck for the scan today something let us know how you get on?

somethingwittynot · 20/08/2012 17:55

Child I am so sorry about your loss.

On a happier Note though I had my scan today! Little bean is healthy and very very active! I could feel them kicking they were also waving their arms around to! They have moved my due date to 26/2/13 this bean is smaller than my DS was at this stage and ha their dads head and very long legs!

Consultant tomorrow

WingDefence · 20/08/2012 18:46

Something that's so good to hear :) Does that mean they've moved the date earlier or later?

Dysgu · 20/08/2012 19:11

Sorry to hear about your loss, child

something how exciting to be able to see your little one - what did DS weigh when he arrived? are you expecting this one to be smaller? Are you finding out 'what' this one is?

I have an appointment with a doctor on Thursday this week. It is not my usual doctor but is one I have often seen before! He should just set things in motion and add me to the list for the midwife.

My 'own' doctor is on holiday until the end of the summer holiday so I have an appointment with her on 4th September when I expect we will talk a lot more about this pregnancy and whether I need to be referred to the consultant.

Practisingparent · 20/08/2012 20:37

Oh child, so sorry for this terrible news, hope you start to feel more at peace with it soon. I think thats a lovely idea to plant something in memory, I hope you are ok and wont need that d+c.

Practisingparent · 20/08/2012 20:44

Is it normal to start getting morning sickness so soon? I got evening sickness from 6-12 weeks last time, but it seems its already started a day after my BFP!

hearing such sad news as childs, Im a bit worried about telling just anyone too early, but There are sets of friends who will just know the minute I decline a drink, not sure what to do about that!

Congrats something, Im living for that 12 week scan!

frying have you worked out your due date yet? Im 24th april here.
