zack obviously Wink its one syllable and doesnt end in a y Grin

weve picked complete names already willow-rose mary with mary being after my grandma and isaac john lee john being after DPs grandad and lee being a family tradition.

tiredteddy · 13/08/2012 19:50

Ooh So is it quite similar name to something DS then wing ???

Yes it was a hard choice but the right one. I couldn't have faced to constant monitoring scans. Let alone the paranoia of every twinge. Also they were unsure what effect pregnancy hormones would do to the changing breast tissue if we had had dc3 first hence waiting til now. So no, no milk production any more. Very perky boobs though! I breast feed both the boys so the ff feeding is my next obsession. Bottles, sterilisers, etc??? The early pregnancy was weird as I had very few symptoms without all the breast changes. Me and DH do giggle about how pert I'll be as an old lady in twin set and pearls! Grin

somethingwittynot · 13/08/2012 20:00

wing just google 4d scans in your area and im sure loads will pop up!

WingDefence · 13/08/2012 22:08

Thanks Something. I've got slightly pink CM to it, not enough to call spotting I think (but then again, I've never seen any one else's spotting so perhaps it is?) and I just want the damn assurance that everything's fine. No cramping or anything else so far so I'll see what's occurring in the morning before I really do start to worry.

Trouble is, anything out of the ordinary is worrying, isn't it?

Tired I only BF DS until about 6 weeks before I could take it no more moved over to 100% FF. I was mixed feeding by then anyway as he never got the hang of it (yes, I completely blame him Grin ) and he has always been healthy, seems to have fewer illnesses etc than his peers and is far brighter then average so I would have no problems with doing it again next time.

Seriously though, each mum to her own. I'll try BFing again next time. Although you'll be 'okay' in the eyes of BFing mums because you've got a 'proper' reason for FFing Wink Grin

WingDefence · 13/08/2012 22:09

*tonight

mandasand · 13/08/2012 22:17

Thanks for sharing your story, tired. That's a big and brave choice and I really admire you for it - I can't imagine it can have been at all easy., Good for you chuck. Smile not at all envious of your perky boobs!

I like your boys' names and your rules! What about Ben(jam in) which can be both 1 and 3 syllables?! Hmm, no good for a DD though!

Has anyone with kids changed their mind on names after birth, e.g. if a baby just didn't look like a Bob or whatever?!

Cor that's a lot of exciting scans, something! Is this in addition to your NHS ones? I'm desperate to go back for another private one before the weekend, just to be sure everything is still growing and looking good (before we tell parents) but must control myself! I've got my 12+4 NHS one on the 25th so not long to wait!

mandasand · 13/08/2012 22:18

*Ben(jamin)

tiredteddy · 13/08/2012 22:23

Ooh good thinking manda I like Ben also Sam. I'm no good with names for a dd either just imagine one. Felt like that with the boys though so maybe it's a DS again for me?

Hope your ok wing ?

I would love another scan it's just good to know everything is progressing as it should be. My next one is sept 3rd. Ages away!

tiredteddy · 13/08/2012 22:24

Also def no name changes after the boys were born. It's was max if it's a boy then the same with Toby.

tiredteddy · 13/08/2012 22:26

Last post tonight! Grin
wing thanks for the support re ff! I'm a bit nervous about the BF police! It'll be strange and there will be lots to learn. I will ask your advice at some point about what formula etc. To Use.

mandasand · 13/08/2012 22:37

sam's nice too :-)

somethingwittynot · 14/08/2012 08:06

yup in adition to my NHS ones i just love seeing the bambino and check all is well.

i have my "12" week scan at 12+4 on monday Grin

tiredteddy · 14/08/2012 09:37

Only a few days to wait then something how exciting! Do you have to travel far for the scan? Hope you are feeling well with symptoms etc.

WingDefence · 14/08/2012 13:50

How exciting Something!

I have felt bleugh all day so far and have hardly got any work done :( Light-headed/dizzy/tired.

Pant snot is a light beige colour now so I'm trying not to think about it. Everything else seems fine although I am constipated and already feel like I've got a watermelon growing in my abdomen!!

I cannot see how I am going to last to 12 weeks without people guessing as I already can't get into my jeans Hmm I may have to get DH to get the maternity clothes down from the loft already except that would feel like I'm tempting fate IYKWIM?

Anyway, hope you're all having a good day :)

tiredteddy · 14/08/2012 19:10

wing get those maternity clothes out and get comfy! I think subsequent pregnancies show more quickly because our muscles know how to stretch/ relax now Grin

I've spent the day trying to sort the boys toys out and persuade them to give some to charity! About half way through so more to do tomorrow!

WingDefence · 14/08/2012 19:34

But Tired - aren't you going to save some for the MiniTired? Grin

Half hour till Great British Bake Off starts on BBC2 and I am ridiculously excited. Really can't wait! Got a friend coming over to watch it with me as DH cannot stand cookery programmes, even though he is great on the kitchen - you'd think he would want the inspiration? Hmm

I may force him to watch it anyway!

tiredteddy · 14/08/2012 19:40

Ha ha ha! Yes well I'm trying to make some space in our very tiny house for minitired to have a few things. At the moment there's so much clutter that minitired will have to spend its whole life sharing with with me and DH.

I've never watched the great British bake off... Maybe I'll have a look?

somethingwittynot · 15/08/2012 09:10

bake of was brilliant. anything to do with cake is brilliant Grin

sickness kicked in at 11+5! booooooooo

WingDefence · 15/08/2012 11:01

It was great wasn't it!

I have succumbed and dug out a pair of comfy Isabella Olivier black jersey maternity trousers and out them on this morning. Bump is minimal at the moment but my jogging bottoms were digging in across my tummy and making feel right bleugh. Much more comfortable now - and they were lurking about in my trousers drawer so I didn't actually get them out especially :)

Still vaguely beige/brown when I wipe but I know that's hardly anything and I still am getting other symptoms (boobs are so achey, don't remember that with DS) so I'm not worrying about it at the moment.

Child, if you are there, how are you doing?

somethingwittynot · 15/08/2012 12:25

glad things seem to be easing up. i to have achey boobs wich i dont remeber with DS either

ChildOfThe1980s · 15/08/2012 16:14

Hi all

Wing I have a fair amount of mostly brown but sometimes red spotting too. No pain though, which is a relief. There was one day when I didn't have any. That was a good day.

I couldn't watch a cooking programme, I always get too hungry!

I am not feeling esp happy today. Mostly cos DH is having such a hard time right now, with more than our own problems I will add.

I was going to go though old baby clothes (to sort out the loft, and see what would stay down (newborn) and what should go back up (6 months plus)) but I can't. Just feel I am not allowed to get too excited or happy, or I will get an even bigger disappointment if everything goes wrong.

WingDefence · 15/08/2012 20:34

That sounds rubbish Child. I hope DH manages to relax this evening (and you too). Are you due for a scan any time soon?

I have felt so dizzy and lightheaded all afternoon. I barely made it driving into the village to pick DS up from holiday club but I had promised him I'd be there (DH did drop-off this morning) and I know he'd remember. I had to keep saying to the staff that I had a really bad headache when I nearly fell over sideways!

Still, I got awful dizziness with DS so it isn't a surprise and I keep thinking 'it's my hormones, it's a good thing' and I try not to moan although it's rather fun to get DH to do things for me because I'm dizzy tee hee

Hope you're all having quiet evenings. We've got the footy on and thank goodness England have equalised...

ChildOfThe1980s · 15/08/2012 20:56

Wing yes, it's next Tuesday. I am going to be so wound up that day.

Sorry to hear about your dizziness. Pregnancy isn't fun is it?

We have footie on too which I am ignoring

tiredteddy · 15/08/2012 21:01

So glad you have a scan coming up child that will hopefully put your mi d at rest a bit. How many weeks will you be then?

Dizziness sounds a but if a pain wing how long dud it lady for last time?

Ds1 is out at his first sleepover. Ds2 won't go to bed without him Sad hiwever he is bring very charming so I don't really mind Wink

WingDefence · 16/08/2012 09:04

Next Tuesday... I'd be a bundle of nerves if I were you. Sorry, that's not very helpful, is it? :(

I can't remember how long the dizziness lasted last time but it must have been over by 12 weeks. I've also got constipation Blush so have sent DH off to the shops for dried prunes this morning! (I did ask for prune juice but he said he'd have no idea where that would be and he wouldn't want to ask for it Angry )

I have tons to do for work today and I've really slacked off so far this week so I must pull my finger out and get on with it. Argh - its already gone 9am!
