somethingwittynot · 30/06/2012 11:41

dont know where shes gone?! yeah this is my re scan from the other day still waiting for the "early" scan my doctor requested.

tiredteddy · 30/06/2012 12:57

So will you get the early scan too! Baby splodge is going to be really well documented!

somethingwittynot · 30/06/2012 14:14

yeah three scan before my "12 week" one and i might be getting regular growth scans to i hope the consultant agress to that!

tiredteddy · 30/06/2012 16:18

We are going out tonight. The last time I'll have to hide the nit drinking before we can properly announce the bump after next weeks scan! What are you up to?

mandasand · 04/07/2012 13:49

hello babylann, tiredteddy, something and any other JS graduates I'm missing!

so, got two BFPs last night and off to the docs this afternoon. feel a bit nauseous-queasy and have belly ache, and a few shooting pains here and there. haven't been able to do a thing all day because I'm really knackered and a bit like a rabbit in the headlights! trying not to get toooo excited though as at my grand old age I think the chance of a miscarriage is 1 in 5. I've worked out that I'm most probably 4 weeks pregnant, with an early March due date (if all goes well) but it's possibly I conceived the month earlier (tho had four days ERTD in between). Anyway, I guess I'll find out soon enough! It's all a bit daunting, though ... gulp!

somethingwittynot · 05/07/2012 09:11

yay welcome! got my scan in 5 days really cant wait! still waiting for the scan my gp requested to turn up in the post!

mandasand · 05/07/2012 13:11

that's really exciting, something! I've got an appointment with the midwife in two weeks. I'm worried about every little twinge though. I just sneezed and had the most awful shooting pain in my womb area, eek! I'm going to need to set up a 'I'm Pregnant and a Hypochondriac' list, I think!

tiredteddy · 05/07/2012 18:02

Yay! Congrats MANDASAND really pleased for you! Got my dating scan tomorrow feeling nervous now...

somethingwittynot · 05/07/2012 18:32

good luck for tomorrow! im getting a lot of pains to but its just general stretching! i think mine hurt due to my section?

tiredteddy · 05/07/2012 18:43

Thanks! I had a lot more pains in the early weeks than I remembered having before too. I'm sure it's just stretching and stuff.

somethingwittynot · 06/07/2012 07:04

im having alot more paims this time round.

tiredteddy · 06/07/2012 14:28

So I had my scan and everything looks fine. We saw our little one kicking its legs and swallowing. Was a little bit naughty standing on it's head though so had to go for a walk to make it move for the nuchal test! Changed my dates a little, am 12 weeks now! Very happy... Smile

somethingwittynot · 08/07/2012 10:52

yay so pleased for you! i have my dating scan in two days and then my NT scan on the 17th!

tiredteddy · 09/07/2012 17:23

Scans are the best. When do you think you are due is it feb sometime? X

somethingwittynot · 10/07/2012 14:22

just had my scan and im 6 weeks 5 days making me due the 28th of feb! baby splodge

tiredteddy · 10/07/2012 14:34

Great news something! Glad everything is progressing well for you x

mandasand · 13/07/2012 22:23

oooooh hello tiredteddy and something! I'm so pleased your scans went well and left you feeling happy and excited! I'm convinced I'm further along than 5/6 weeks. This morning my belly seemed to have popped out and I couldn't get into my jeans! It is possible I conceived the month before and trying not to think about all the cider I drank back then! as I only had a light period. And are either of you, or anyone else on the list, in tune with your cervix?! Everything I've read suggests it should be soft like your lips not hard like your nose. Mine is high up (good, I think), but hard. Hmm. Anyway, I have appt with midwife in 6 days so I think I can control my anxieties till then! (scan another 6 weeks or so though!) hugs to both xx

somethingwittynot · 16/07/2012 09:41

your cervix shouldnt be soft until the end. soft and low at the end is
gooood Grin

evil SIL had her baby last night 6lb 15oz only one oz heavier than her DD

tiredteddy · 17/07/2012 11:45

Hi mandsand I know nothing about my cervix or where it is! I'm assume g in my ignorance that it's normal. I
Nearly 14 weeks now but still feeling pretty rough. Been sick a few times and massively tired. I'm in that limbo period of being to fat for my jeans but no bump to show off so living in loose tops and leggings! Not so stylish. Nice to hear from you. We do need some more people on this thread. Anyone know where babylann has gone? Hope she ok?

something how are you? guessing you won't be visiting sil? sending a card? How are you feeling with symptoms now?

WingDefence · 28/07/2012 11:36

Hello all!! Is this the most up to date thread?

I got my BFP this morning! I had a weird ERTD last week that was just brown for a few days so I thought I'd test this morning and I did! It was a cheapy Internet thing so I'm going to do a clear blue digital in the morning. I said back on JSing last week that I was feeling pg but was telling myself I wasn't because of ERTD so when it never really went anywhere I thought Hmm

I popped to get some pregnancy vits this morning and posted in JSing on the way home in the car and it made me soooo car sick (which I never normally get). Luckily I wasn't sick but I was panting away as if I was in labour, I felt that ill! Still don't feel too great now even with a Brew

With DS I got terrible vertigo/dizziness but no nausea and a tiny bit of bleeding one day at 6 weeks so this is already different. Just fingers crossed that everything goes well as I'm not sure how I'd handle a MC. But then again, who ever thinks they could handle one? :(

To end on a positive note...BFP!!!!!! Grin

tiredteddy · 30/07/2012 10:45

Hi Wing! And huge congratulations! Yes this the place to move too from JS. However it's rather quiet. Something is usually about but nit for a whole and same with Babylann. A couple of others that were here unfortunately left due to a miscarriage and a molar pregnancy.

I'm 15 weeks now but still feeling sick. I've gad sinusitis too which had been rather grim. My ds2 is poorly too so its rather dull at the Teddy house at the moment.

Glad your here. Happy days for you Smile

WingDefence · 30/07/2012 13:43

Ooh someone actually posted! Wink

You may remember me as south - lundon (no hyphen obviously) as I think you must have got your BFP and left before I namechanged? I realised that I had other social logins as that nickname and thought telling everyone about my sex life in detail wasn't that sensible!

Still feeling sick? That's rubbish. Did you have long-lasted sickness with your other pgs?

I'm not allowing myself to get too excited by it all until I get nearer to 12 weeks. Except I did tell DH that I'd be going to our village cafe this afternoon because "baby needs cake" and it would help it to grow from a sesame seed size to a baked bean. He then did this ridiculous acting out of a tiny seed trying to eat a giant crumb of cake like he was eating a massive gym ball or something. I'm not explaining it very well but it was very funny! Grin

And I hope DS2 feels better soon. At least that means you can put your feet up in front of the tv with him?

tiredteddy · 30/07/2012 14:23

Yes I must have missed the name change! Hello hello. Well I had my teeth cleaned by the hygienist this morning and it's given me a headache so definitely tv with ds2 for me. Ds1 is busy constructing Lego so hopefully a peaceful afternoon.

I can't remember your stats, is this dc1? How are you with symptoms? Any other BFP'S lately from the JS thread. Cake is good and a necessary part of pregnancy. I didn't have this bad sickness at all before I have been blaming it on my age as I was very young (24) with my first and (27) with my second. I think now I'm a grand old 32 that it's just all a bit harder. The tiredness is extreme. I have a midwife appointment on weds though so I will ask just in case there's anything they can do?

The early weeks are tough feeling excited but almost not wanting to say it out loud yet. Have you told anyone else in RL yet?

WingDefence · 30/07/2012 16:02

Mmmmm cake. It was chocolate and very good Grin

I'm 35 and have a DS who is 3.6 and I know the risks go up lots at 35. I was stupid and looked up 'risks of MC' earlier and at 35-40 it's one in 5! [shocked] I really am going to try to ignore the whole thing now - as far as I can...

Apart from DH I've not told anyone yet. My BF is training to be a midwife at the moment but is in the middle of uni exams so I'm going to wait until she's got through those next week and I'll tell her. My DPs are on holiday and not back for 2 weeks so I'll tell them then but otherwise noone else until 12 weeks.

And I've been putting off seeing a dentist but hopefully (once I've got my Mat B1) when it's free I shall be straight in there for all the free check ups and treatments!

tiredteddy · 30/07/2012 17:41

Ah a DS. Mine are 8 and very nearly 5! So a big age gap now.

Those risks are a lot higher. Best plan to put it to the back of your mind I think. I had early bleeding in both previous pregs. More in the 2nd with a big bleed at 15 weeks and a stay in hospital. I was very into the whole it's not an illness being pregnant and carrying on as normal. Thus time with feeling suck so much mire I've been taking it really easy and no bleeds yet (fingers still crossed)! Can't help thinking there's a correlation there.

I've just dispatched DH and the boys to waitrose to do some shopping while I tidy up (read my book)!

Nice to have a friend whose a midwife she will be great for advice and questions.
