Hi babylann yes I joined an anyone due in jan but its very busy. livismum and pricklypickle are about and pop in sometimes. That's all I've seen on here. Yes the JS thread was fab, funny and quick and great people. The jan thread is so full it didn't seem like I'd get to know anyone. How are your symptoms then? I am hugely tired and nauseous but at random times through the day.

babylann · 04/06/2012 10:38

Nauseous all day every day, particularly when I eat. Ridiculous sense of smell, which is horrible! Gone off all my favorite foods, can't eat anything rich, only bland and dry. Very tired, pregnancy dreams, not being able to get to sleep. It's all kicking off!

I know what you mean about not being able to get to know anyone in fast paced threads. Can't wait til some more of the JSers move over here Grin

tiredteddy · 04/06/2012 11:13

I'm waking everyday at 5! How ridiculous. How old is your DS he's quite little I think? My boys are nearly 8 and 4.5 and are asking if I have a baby in my tummy! I think me and DH aren't being very discreet. Must try harder as we don't want to say until 12 week scan says all ok. Am 7 weeks now what do you think you are?

livismum · 04/06/2012 11:37

Hello! Welcome to our little club babylann think a lot of peeps join the antenatal clubs and JSing becomes a distant memory! I'm 10+2 so getting there slowly, had my mat exception card and scan date through (19th!) so all very exciting, had a Jubilee BBQ in the rain yesterday, I was a bit grumpy as not drinking and then got bad indigestion after a rather large piece of cheesecake! Be glad when everyone can know, a friend made an announcement in the week they are expecting 4 weeks ahead of us Smile

FeijoaVodkaPlease · 04/06/2012 14:49

Babylann the sure is a JS postgrad thread. It's very very quiet though. postgrads

babylann · 04/06/2012 21:55

I have a DD just turned 2. :) She's been told by her daddy that I have a baby in my tummy, but she doesn't care at all and has no idea what he means! I think I'm 5 weeks, but it's hard to say. My cycles are so dodgy I don't know if what was my last "period" really was one... it was literally half a day of spotting. Could just as easily have been OV. Due date estimated by two separate calculators predict somewhere between Feb 8th - Feb 15th. I'm going to have to wait for a scan for any idea at all though.

Luckily I don't think I'll mind passing on alcohol for 9 months, I only really drink when I'm out with two particular friends Grin Going out next weekend with said friends who I won't be telling my news to (I think it's still much too early), but luckily the person whos birthday we're celebrating has just announced her pregnancy so we all agreed to a sober night in a show of solidarity anyway.

Thank you for the link Feijoa :) I was on the JSing thread for so long, I saw so many people come and go and always wonder how they're getting on. I actually spent a few hours the other night reading nickelbabe's live birth threads.

tiredteddy · 06/06/2012 09:55

babylann sorry I got your DD wrong! Yes I suppose she is a bit little to take it in but she will absorb the information with time as shell grow up so much in the next 9 months! I'm not too worried about the alcohol free bit of pregnancy either. Had a girly weekend two weeks ago so did admit to that group of friends as I really could not have fooled them! They were pleased though as they knew I was trying. We haven't told our parents yet. We are not sure we can trust their subtlty when talking about it in front of the boys. We think we might let the boys tell them after the first scan! It's half term here so I have three days to entertain my boys in the rain. I love having them at home though. Hope you are ok?

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 10:24

Don't worry about getting DD wrong!

I'm fine thanks. Still pregnant, but getting increasingly more anxious about miscarriages... I've seen people talking about them in a few different threads now, someone posted they've had one in the Feb '13 thread and it just terrifies me, I can't imagine how I would feel. This pregnancy doesn't feel "real" yet, I remember with DD that even at this early stage it was all I could think about. With this pregnancy, it's only crossing my mind every half an hour or so.

But at least I'm still suffering all the symptoms. Extreme exhaustion, morning sickness (nausea still, no actual vomit yet!), inability to fall asleep and then falling asleep too quickly when I do and jolting back awake... Still getting lots of twinges and pains in my pelvis, but I had those with DD so trying not to be too alarmed by them.

I've told my close family, and DP has told his parents. We know it's early but we would probably tell these people if we had a miscarriage anyway so there was no point keeping it a secret.

Pinkie just got a BFP on the JSers thread, so I directed her here! Think I'm going to have to lurk over there and get people to join us one by one when they're got BFPs so we can get some activity around here again! Grin

tiredteddy · 06/06/2012 11:08

I know exactly what you mean about worrying about miscarriage. I'm lurking on a jan 2013 thread and a few people have had bleeding then misscarriage and a mmc on an early scan too. I'm convinced that I will get to my scan and and find out that is stopped growing at some stage. I'm not really feeling very pregnant. I have the extremely tired thing definately but that's all. I never mentioned on the JS thread but I had a double mastecomy and reconstruction last nov related to genetics. I am all healed and fine but obviously so many pregnancy related symptoms are to do with your boobs and hormones that I now don't feel. It's strange to be almost symptom-less! Hooray for pinkie! We must coax them all here one at a time. Such a fan group! Keep up your lurking! Grin

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 13:09

I never knew you had a double mastectomy and reconstruction no, I guess with you pregnant now all those problems are sorted :) And yeah, I'm getting a lot of boob symptoms. The heavy feeling when I take my bra off and they almost thud downwards painfully, ouch! I'm stuck between wondering if it's boob pain or whether I have a chest infection it can hurt so much sometimes and feels so "internal".

Pinkie says she doesn't think she'll be joining a pregnancy thread, so doubt she'll be joining us. Says she doesn't want anything extra to worry about, which I can understand.

The miscarriage worry is getting so present that every now and then I find myself checking my pants for blood and stuff, I never did that with DD. Maybe pregnancy threads are a bad thing for that reason and Pinkie is right, because they do bring it to the front of your mind. Someone has had a miscarriage on every antenatal thread I've joined / lurked on so far :(

tiredteddy · 06/06/2012 17:06

I am a nightmare for knicker checking! I had an early bleed with ds1 due to low placenta then a big bleed at 15 weeks with ds2 which was partial placental abruption ! That one was scary! Shame pinkies nit joining us but I see her point maybe shell come back after 12 weeks?

On a brighter note, it might be scary but we can also share the excitement! I really can't believe their will be another little person in our family next year! so exciting!I am guessing on a boy for me. I didn't find out the sec the last two times. Think I'd like to this time. Did you with your dd?

BabylannShallFall · 06/06/2012 19:28

I found out with DD, yeah. I was convinced I was having a boy, had started knitting a blue blanket, etc. And then I found out she was a girl, I was in shock - I'd been so convinced. This time, I have no idea, I think, "Hmm, probably a boy... but actually, I think a girl... oh I don't know!"

Asked my "magic cards" (a little trick I used to do when I was younger and mess around with every now and then) and they say boy, however there were 3 magpies in the backgarden earlier while I was washing the dishes Grin

I'd be happy with either tbh. Part of me wants a girl, part of me wants a boy so that I can tell myself I'm happy to stick with 2.

tiredteddy · 06/06/2012 19:42

I like the sound of the cards. I went on babycentre to use the due date calculator and had a play on the Chinese gender predictor it said girl but when I put in my DS dates both said girl too so unlikely it's correct!

PrincessWatermelon · 07/06/2012 00:30

Hey JSing Graduates!

babylann lovely to see you again, although I'm sorry you're stressing about mc so much.

I was Miffles back on the thread with Nickel, TakeThatLady, Nelly and the gang! I did come over here, but Nickel was about the last one and there wasn't a lot of overlap between us. So I've been on a due in July thread.

I'm 37 weeks today and have a huge bump! Looking forward to meeting my daughter now.

Well, I'll potter off. Can't sleep (restless legs and fidgeting baby) but glad the thread is ticking over again.

BabylannShallFall · 07/06/2012 11:03

Oh wow, 37 weeks. It has all gone so quickly, I can't believe nickel already has her baby, for a long time in fact! Feels like a few months ago that everyone got their bfps. Good luck with the birth and your lovely daughter.

I'm crazy, could swear I'm further along than I think, felt 'hiccups' earlier! Probably just kidding myself because I'm eager Wink must get a scan booked!

tiredteddy · 08/06/2012 09:57

Oh ok I take it all back about no symptoms. Nausea has kicked in and is hitting me in waves throughout the door. I am getting the shakes as if I have low blood sugar or something. Bleurgh. At least I'm not actually puking! How are you babylann and LIVISMUM ?

crowette · 08/06/2012 11:55

Hi there, used to post in the JSing threads but stopped using the forums after my second MC at the end of Jan at 7 weeks. I just carried on with life, forgetting about TTC. Well, I'm now nearly 8 weeks pregnant!

Was two weeks late, but thinking it was probably just a long cycle again, but one it went over my longest cycle I decided to test (also had tender boobs, strong sense of smell and tiredness) and it came up positive :) very strong and quick pink line compared to the previous weak ones, so cracked open the CB digi and it came up 3+ straight away.

Still rather nervous about it, booked in with midwife for a week now and waiting scan date!

Had a couple of days when symptoms went, and I thought the worst, but they soon returned with reinforcements Grin am currently experiencing low level nausea, with horrid aftertaste after most foods. Anything greasy makes me feel sick, if I don't eat I feel sick, if I eat I feel sick. Not actually been sick though, thankfully! Constant stuffy nose, boobs feel ok until knocked or bra comes off, then it's 'oooooweeee'!!

OH and I agreed to not tell anyone until after the scan, apart from my bosses at work as it's a physical job ... first day he came home form work and told me he'd told 2 people, next day 11 and now 30 odd, his parents and best friend Hmm I've since told my best friend and some people at work, to explain why I'm not doing certain things.

And oh yes, I'm getting married when I'll be 13 weeks!

For those who don't know/remember me, I'm 40yrs old and have 2 DDs, aged 18 and 12, and OH has a 16 yr old DD :)

tiredteddy · 08/06/2012 19:04

Hi crowette nice to meet you we def need some more members for this thread! I'm nearly 8 weeks too so perhaps we will have a similar due date. The online calculator is saying 20 th jan at the moment. How are you feeling? Happy news for you!

crowette · 08/06/2012 19:55

Hi teddy That's the date I have too :D

Today I am feeling crap, but it's all good I suppose! Very tired earlier so had a nap, but woke up with heart racing, apparently normal with increased blood flow. Felt rough then realised I'd not eaten anything but chocolate digestives all day Blush smell of food is off putting though. Have a thing for ice cold water with loads of ice cubes, lovely!!

tiredteddy · 08/06/2012 20:02

I know I am hungry the. When I smell food I feel sick it's so annoying. I'm weirdly off sweet stuff at the moment which is very odd for me as I normally have a very sweet tooth. Here's my detail for you. I'm 32 and I have DS1 nearly 8 and DS2 4.5 so this will be dc3 for us. Sorry to hear that you had a miscarriage but what happy news to be pg without really realising and getting married soon too! What are the wedding plans? I bet all the girls at your house are very excited!

livismum · 08/06/2012 20:13

Hi ladies! I've started writing posts a few times then decide I don't have anything really to say and cancel them Blush
I'm off sweet stuff too (hard for a chocoholic!) never happened when pregnant with the girls?! I'm 11 weeks tomorrow, and afraid I'm still worried if I have a "good" day, love it that we all prefer it when we r feeling rubbish then moan about it anyways, welcome (welcome back) newbies glad to have u joining our small club Smile

crowette · 08/06/2012 20:25

I was off sweet stuff last week, it left a nasty aftertaste. Not so bad at the moment, and I seem to be craving healthy stuff ... just stocked up on fruit.

Wedding plans are simple - registry office with just our girls and FIL as witness (eldest DD as other witness) on the Thursday, then handfasting in in-law's back garden on the Saturday, followed by BBQ. Got a wine coloured medieval style velvet dress that I made myself, so it's stretchy ... perfect if there's any bump by then! Then off to Wales for few days honeymoon.

Girls don't know about me being pregnant yet, we told them last two times and then had to tell them I'd MC'd, so we're waiting until the scan to tell them. Mind you, youngest was snuggled up with me earlier and pressed her head into my boob OMG, the pain! I'm also sure they're wondering why I'm so tired and off my food, so may have to tell them earlier.

crowette · 08/06/2012 20:29

Hi livis my first two pregnancies were totally different from each other, I was convinced I was having a boy with DD2. This one is different again, much more sicky and tired ... but then I'm older now!

livismum · 08/06/2012 20:39

Wedding plans sound lovely crowette some friends got married in a quiet manner
last year (when pg with their 2nd) and I thought it was so romantic just doing it because they wanted to be married and not getting caught up in big elaborate do trying to please everyone (although wouldn't change anything about ours! DD1 was 1 when we wed!) my DD's are 7 and 3 and I'm 31, I have been same ages as my mum when she had me and my sister and she was 32 when she had my brother (I'm 32 sept!) so another reason I'm half expecting a boy! Smile

crowette · 08/06/2012 20:48

I had the big manor house wedding first time around when I married the girls dad, eldest was 5 and were TTC for DD2 straight after. No trouble conceiving either of them and no MCs either. Taken us nearly 2 years to get to where we are now, suppose that's age ... I conceived a week after my 40th birthday ... lovely present Grin

Is anyone planning on finding out sex of baby? OH and I have decided that we'd like to.
