Welcome to the new thread ladies!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
mopsytop · 10/08/2011 20:31

Oh I am not on the stats thread. I will go and put myself on there now.

sevensevenseven · 10/08/2011 20:42

Wow what a busy day on here. If it makes anyone feel better I've been dying my hair since I was 23, my aunt was completely grey before she was 30. Glad I'm not the only clumsy one, I currently have curry sauce on my top.

bluebells thanks for doing the stats, at least someone is still organised!

darcies we're already thinking about having a third, we're waiting to see how the birth goes and will then decide. If we have another I'd like to be pregnant again within a year.

I saw a guy in Argos earlier who I had a bit of a thing with when I was 17. We never had a relationship as he was 24 and said I was too young. 4 months later I got with DH who was 32 at the time! Anyway, he used to have a great body but I felt quite smug to see that he now has a bigger belly than me and I'm 21 weeks pregnant :o

sevensevenseven · 10/08/2011 20:46

There are so many people on the stats who never post, wonder where they all are?

mopsytop · 10/08/2011 20:51

Haha seven love it when exes that weren't up to scratch age badly and you meet them and think wahey, lucky escape! I know that is REALLY horrible of me and I am a bad person but it's always nice. And also girls who used be really horrible and mean at school and the years have not been kind, looks or career wise. Am I the only horrible cow or does anyone else feel like that also?

sevensevenseven · 10/08/2011 20:56

mopsy maybe I'm a horrible cow as well! There is a woman who bullied me at school who now works in our local mcdonalds, always makes me smile when I go in there!

mopsytop · 10/08/2011 20:58

I guess it's natural seven. Being a teenager is so hard and nasty girls make it harder.

LittleMissFlustered · 10/08/2011 21:46

I want a skunk!

AhemGrin Sorry, I had to get it out. She is fabulous, and I am very jealous Envy

I am not scanned yet ladies. I'm not allowed one until near the end of the month. It's another of the local PCT's little things to make overweight patients feel more uncomfortable. I will be 22 weeks by that point

mopsytop · 10/08/2011 21:55

LittleMiss seriously? They really make you wait longer? If that is true that is a disgrace!

Awomancalledhorse · 10/08/2011 22:04

LittleMiss, I can understand why they make you wait longer (the sciencey bit of it), but surely it should be upto the individual (who should be aware that it will be harder to see anything)?! GAH!

Agree with all the 'orrible people on here who get the warm fuzzy feeling when an ex/bully/whatever has failed. Although when an arse manages to have an excellent life I shake my fist at the sky a little.

Awomancalledhorse · 10/08/2011 23:00

Since being pregnant, I've been taking notes from STFU parents on what NOT to share on facebook;

STFU Blog

Thanks to that site I now know that people post pictures of their babies explosive pooh. I'd like to share that with you lovely people, as it's not fair that it's only in my head.

sevensevenseven · 10/08/2011 23:27

AWCH that's gross! Why would they think anyone wants to see that?

LittleMiss that's rubbish! When I had DS I had a BMI of 41 and had a scan at 20 weeks, everything was perfectly visible. We even got a close-up scan picture of his face.

msbuggy do you know if the sleepy wrap is any good, I'm thinking of getting one.

LittleMissFlustered · 10/08/2011 23:37

Apparently the trust has got very stern with us lumpy birds in the last four years. The last two times I have needed 20 week scans, they happened at 20 weeks with no ill effects.

It's also the reason that I spend all of my midwife appointments talking food and not pregnancy. Am pondering taking my lunch with me next time, just to prove a point as I have got a real thing about ham, lettuce and cucumber sammiches in nutty/seedy bread going on right now.

With regards to school bitches. Many moons ago, when pregnant wth my first, I was on a bus on the way home from a late night shopping shift at work, when a lass I used to avoid like the plague at school came up to me and apologised for having been a heinous baggage at school and wished me well with my pregnancy. We chatted about small town mentality for a few minutes then went our separate ways. I was quite stunned, but rather impressed that she had the balls to do it.

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 07:27

well i have been reading everyones posts... but it is still tooo early for me, and i can't remember what i was going to say now!!

So i will just say i have stalked you all now and you all look fab :o

and littlemiss that is quite impressive she had the balls to do it... although i would still hate her and have made her squirm when she apologised muhahaha

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 07:35

Ps i have posted this on the pregnancy forum, but tought i would ask you guys too -

I am having really bad problems with (what i think is) vertigo.

I have suffered with dizziness/fainting/blackouts for the past 10 years due to blood pressure/ME, but the dizziness i am experiencing now is totally different and is not hypotension

Im not sure if its to do with my balance. If i turn my head to the side i get very dizzy and it takes me a few seconds to re focus, and when i stand up/move around i am very unsteady and walk in to things! Also as i am sat here looking at the screen, i can't focus on it (kind of like you would see in a film when someone is tripping!!)

I mentioned it to the MW at my 20 week scan, who just said if it carried on go to the GP

OiMissus · 11/08/2011 07:48

Morning all, kri5ty I know nothing about vertigo/dizziness, so the only advice I can offer is make that appointment with the GP.
As for bullies etc., I went to a school reunion, alone, and was terrified that all the hard nuts would be there, and none of my old nice friends. I was right, it was mainly the hard nuts, but they greeted me warmly, were genuinely interested in me, and one in particular who I had had a running battle with all my school life took me to one side to tell me what she had done with her life - she'd got pregnent after school, and that made her grow up and pull her socks up. She was proud of what she'd achieved and it meant a lot to her to tell me - she wanted me to come to the reunion, and wanted to prove to me that she was decent. She wanted my approval. Bizarre really. I suppose it goes to show that kids can be cruel, but most adults are genuinely OK.

OiMissus · 11/08/2011 07:55

...but I am a 'orrible cow too, and do take delight in seeing that 'orrible people haven't aged as well as I like to think I have! he he he!
Anyway, I was jealous of all your lovely pets, so I have posted pics of me n my monkey -Kong - fancy dress from last year. And.... I took a picture of my bump last night. So you can see the "bump at pump" - we took the pic before everyone else arrived. :)

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 07:59

Oooo i can't wait to see bump at pump :o

I want to see your goldfish!!

OiMissus · 11/08/2011 07:59

Oh - honeydragon posted on the old thread:
Hi All

I have been asked to pass on the following from MrsXstitch.

She is very sorry to have not said goodbye, but she has had to deregister due to personal reasons. She wishes each and everyone of you good luck with your new babies.

X

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 08:00

The monkey pic is amazing!!

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 08:01

awww poor MrsXstitch :( i hope she is ok

OiMissus · 11/08/2011 08:26

I shall try and take a pic of the goldfish tonight. :) They outgrew their old tank, so I bought them a very fancy schmancy new home - biOrb cube/life something, 45 gallons of schmancy - cost a small fortune, I don;t mind telling you! ...The little blighters are outgrowing this one! The real reason that we're moving house is that we need a pond! (My pets are SPOILT!)

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 08:33

A pond oooooo Fancy! they might not like sluming it (spelt wrong i know) outside! As long as you remember to put a little float on top of the pond in winter so it doesn't freeze over when you and Stu are pre occupied with the little one!

OiMissus · 11/08/2011 08:43

p.s. don't you hate it when someone says "for personal reasons"? I am a nosey cow! What reasons?! Shock

msbuggywinkle · 11/08/2011 09:17

Seems like we have an antenatal thread full of animal lovers! As for spoilt animals, my free range chickens have three rain shelters in the garden and if they are looking bedraggled I bring them into the living room and use the hair dryer on them. In the winter they sleep in the kitchen! The cat isn't quite so spoilt, but he does sleep on DD1's bed.

kri5ty · 11/08/2011 09:43

Ooo i forgott o ask... do any of you have a dream genii pillow? I bought one to try and stop be rolling on to my back in my sleep, but i find it sooo uncomfy and wake up with back ache Confused
