I'm not going to do the stats as it took up so much of every page! Welcome, everyone!

oooh Congratulations Confuddled! How lovely to have our first baby - can't wait to see a picture and hope you are baby are feeling well.

Eglu · 02/06/2011 10:13

Congratulations Confuddled. I would love to be next as I've well and truly had enough.

Christmas78 · 02/06/2011 10:51

Huge congratulations Confuddled! Well done. Hope you're both doing great.

Pesha · 02/06/2011 11:14

Now look - there'll be none of this 'I hope I'm next stuff'. There are 2 people due before me but they haven't posted for ages so actually I am next. I make allowances for Confuddled as she was never expected to last this long but can everyone else please just Wait Their Turn. If people due after me start popping out babies left, right and centre before me then I will be really fucking pissed off a bit annoyed.

Thank you.

Oh - Congratulations btw Confuddled!!! Grin Wink Can't wait to see pics and hear all the gory details!!

hefner · 02/06/2011 11:19

Congratulations Confuddled! Hope you and baby are ok. Ooh it's so exciting that babies are starting to arrive! I'm quite happy to wait my turn, we still have a lot of shopping and assembling furniture to do before I feel anywhere near ready!

Eglu · 02/06/2011 12:05

Pesha after seeing the mw today and being told I'm measruing term at 35+2, I really would like to be next pretty please. Grin

The mw was feeling around my ribs and said that there wasn't much room up there. Then shel felt that head ant it is 3/5 engaged already. If the head is that low I should be able to breathe and not have feet in my ribs. I'm going to give birth to a monster, eek. Shock

LadyGoneGaga · 02/06/2011 12:32

Congratulations, Confuddled. Would like all the gory details please when you have a mo. Glad you're both safe and well.

we have to move house before baby comes so am very happy not to queue jump for now, Pesha!

confuddledDOTcom · 02/06/2011 12:39

I shall type up all the gory details when I'm at a computer!

No reason to be scared apart from I'm halfway through July technically and just delivered at a not so bad age so it could be anyone next...

Badgerwife · 02/06/2011 12:50

Woohoo congrats Confuddled! I hope to be early but maybe not quite that much, I'm only 32+6 weeks and the moses basket bedding hasn't turned up in the post yet...

Stangirl · 02/06/2011 13:16

Congrats Confuddled!

Oh bugger - I haven't got anything sorted yet. Everything's in the loft. But last day at work today so inbetween running after DD I should be able to find time.

buttonmoon78 · 02/06/2011 13:22

Woohoo - congratulations! Can't wait for more details. Hope you're ok and baby confuddled too. Bet your girl are pleased as punch to be big sisters Smile

Twit I started at 7 as i need to get 7.5 hrs in to be done. I got my referral to the dermatologist yesterday and my appointment is at 11:30 this morning. I assume it will take about an hour and I hope they can give me something for the itching. Taking a short break to go for a walk before the temperature increases too much.

I want to be next! I am due on July 2nd and the baby is already weighing in at around 6lbs. I reminded them about my back and they said I was good to go up to 9lbs...

JimmyChoo17 · 02/06/2011 13:46

hey!! Congrats, just saw on FB your news so had to have a quick nose on here!

I am so with Pesha's way of thinking on the above post ha ha!! Im refusing to go overdue...my job is all about on time or early....(but not too early!)so this baby best play ball :)

Im working on the theory that this wont be a monster as Im practically 34 weeks now but movements are so frequent and big and plentiful! So baby mustnt be huge and still have plenty of room to move about? Or am I totally off track and its a couple more weeks before baby gets really crammed? I may just have my head planted in the sand really Grin

Ive got a lot lot rib-tickling going on right now mind...

I had my hospital tour last night and unbeknown to me....my friend was in there pushing out her little girl as I was having a nose around!! The midwifes were lovely in there but they started ushering us out as the screaming started.....think hubby had a bit of a wake up call being in there!

Ooooo I am so pleased for you confuddled, will be keeping an eye out for pics.....place your bets on who is next then...

Twit · 02/06/2011 14:24

Well now Eglu I'm measuring big too, baby is low and we're due on the same day and I never asked to get pregnant in the first place and my back (etc etc) Grin

will prbably end up being late

Mitchell81 · 02/06/2011 16:05

Congratulations confuddled, another little girl!!! Well done look forward to hearing all about it.
Having another scan next week to check fluid levels, will be 36 weeks on Monday and will get section date on Thursday for either week of the 13th or 20th June. Sorry might be jumping the queue.

MissLolita · 02/06/2011 18:13

It's so exciting! A baby! I know it may sound weird but sometimes I have to remind myself there is a baby at the end of all this....!

Confuddled made me an admin on the FB group so PM me of you'd like to join.

So excited!! A baby!!!!

Want2bSupermum · 02/06/2011 19:31

I will be 37wks on June 11th and hoping that the obn will sanction me going for acupuncture to get things started.

Work has said I am to start disability on Monday. I was hoping to work for another couple of weeks so will spend tomorrow on the phone handing work over. Luckily I have been writing extensive notes on what I have done and what needs to be done to get each job finished. For once my analness has paid off!

Jimmy - I am with you! My life is all about meeting deadlines or delivering early. The concept of being past due is foreign to me.

RunDMC · 02/06/2011 19:35

ooh congrats confuddled. Been lurking and posting occasionally but had to break my silence at the first baby !! Can't wait to hear all the gory details.

Pesha don't worry - I'm well behind you in the queue...24th July so a bit longer yet. Feel like I've been saying 8 weeks to go for ages though, so at least it's now nearly 7 :)

Can't remember if I said before but was seeing a consultant due to dodgy hips (one artificial, one with a shallow socket) and got the OK yesterday for a normal delivery. If only the baby was listening as he/she is still breech (been that way or transverse for weeks!) so would be a bit ironic if I end up having to have a section anyway.. only time will tell I guess.

twit thanks for the list - just starting to think I should get a bit organised so good to see what others are thinking as I have no clue !

MissL have pm'd you..

cara2244 · 02/06/2011 20:19

came on in the hope of good news to cheer up my day of work, hot weather and hyper toddler and yay!!!
Congratulations confuddled!

I definitely don't want my little one to be born before 23rd June as I have a spa day booked :)
But can we please have no more hot weather like today?!?! Was roasting even in white linen trousers. Had to have 2 wees in bushes while walking the dogs Blush

Want2bSupermum · 02/06/2011 20:27

Since they are putting me out to pasture I have been surfing this afternoon.... Found out that amazon has a 'mom' subscription service here in the US that gives a hefty discount plus free 2-day shipping on baby items.

Amazon UK has a subscribe and save program. Not sure how their prices compare to other vendors in the UK but I thought I would pass this on.

Fraochsmum · 02/06/2011 20:41

Aw congratulations confuddled!!! Really chuffed for you and the family and hope you are recovering well xxx
That's exciting about you too Want2be! How are things going now? Have to say I was a little surprised that they won't let you push longer than 2 hours though - I was 2 3/4 hours pushing, and had been fully dilated for half an hour prior to pushing. There was no issue, my body just never felt the urge to push and I don't think I was doing it effectively enough. Do they automatically section you if you've been pushing that long then?
Something else I would def take to hospital this time again twit is my dressing gown and slippers. It really made me so comfy after shaking uncontrollably after birth (pushing so long and being naked as the day I was born) and after my D&C.
Oh, are you getting your hair done twit? Grin

confuddledDOTcom · 03/06/2011 02:15

I can't get pictures into the group from my phone so I'll do it as soon as I'm home. You can add me though if you want to see the ones I've posted already.

Poor little thing isn't too well. She wasn't tolerating formula - she's in the unit so we're not breastfeeding yet - so I pumped 6ml of colostrum (which is a lot to pump colostrum, especially first time on the pump) so they could give her that. They split it over two feeds to make it last and because they're trying to keep her blood sugar under control but even that came up. They've made her nil by mouth and put her on a drip for fluids, started her on antibiotics and waiting the results of a blood test. Hoping they're not going to leave her tummy to "rest" for too long and I can get her on the breast soon.
