Esk - I have been massively quizing my reusable nappy Mum friend! She's used Bumgeniuses from birth and really recommends them. Not sure what fastenings you have gone for yet 9if any) but she recommends the poppers as her daughter quite enjoys undoing the velcro! I am in love the the Itti Bitti tutti's (mainly for the colours...!) I too have applied for the Bumgenius through Bounty. This is the same friend who promised me the reusable nappy email which she is yet to send. She also really recommends a certain liner - but again, still waiting to hear which! We have plenty of time!

Frak and cowboy - hope you have had decent nights and either have baby cuddles now or are very close.

TTL - DH has full on man-flu - I reckon I am now getting the reminents of it! He 'yelled' at me in the night because I had bed-hogged and was breathing on him :( He is the most tolerant person in the world so I have accepted he is actually sick!

Nickel - I get the fizzy arm A LOT! this as a pre-pregnancy thing for me as I think I have a trapped nerve in my elbow (drunken dislocation....) Must be agony in your leg!

I was woken up again last night with the worse period pains - I though bub was going to recreate the scene from alien and come bursting forth through my stomach! As a result I feel like I have done a million sit ups this morning but have definately 'popped' a bit more - although strangely higher up (not where the pains were)! Stoopid bodies...!

Right, so JustKeepSwimming has given birth.
Who's next?
I'm all excited now that we're having a Labour Off Grin

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 10:54

Nickel the bananas are good for the potasium, so I'm sure you could substitute some thing else that you actually like to eat.

Vallinna Ow poor you.

nickelbaalamb · 21/04/2011 10:56

I don't know what else has potassium in it! [sobs]

I could eat banana in a milkshake - it's more the texture than the taste with me. (i have a huge thing about texture with food)

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 11:01

Oh yeah I meant to answer you last nught Nickel. JKS was indeed a JSer, but she never joined us here, which is why you wouldn't have realised.

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 21/04/2011 11:02

Hmmm, actually thinking about it I did get a phase of lots of pins and needles (sitting with legs crossed, lying on one side etc.) I started taking Sainsburys calcium supplements as I went off milk and they've definitely gone. So probably worth just taking an extra one (I take one or two tablets depending on how much cheese I've had)

Fortunately I find bananas quite yummy, which is handy!

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 11:05

Potassium foods from the wonders of google Grin

nickelbaalamb · 21/04/2011 11:09

oh good, I've got Kiwis, tomatoes, spinach, orange juice
and all the moderate stuff I eat quite a lot of.

can't be potassium then.... Confused

BrassicaBabe · 21/04/2011 11:10

I think brocolli is a good source of potassium.

I overtook a fat lady walking yesterday Grin

nickelbaalamb · 21/04/2011 11:12

miaow BB.
naughty Grin

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 11:17

Grin BB (though just you wait another couple of months :P)

cowboylover · 21/04/2011 11:26

Go frak it's so exciting!

All stopped here so after all excitement it's a bit boring now Smile got another 3 weeks til due date so this could take a while. Seeing MW later.

Fun on JKS birth thread, had to keep checking it last night.

vallinnapod · 21/04/2011 11:37

LOL reading JKS's intro it looks like she really was a 'JS' as DC3 wasn't planned....!

LOL BB I take great joy in small things like that - like me getting up to offer old people seats on the bus, but then I do have an AWESOME death stare for those lazt arses that then don't let me sit Grin

Nice to hear form you Cowboy! Sorry things have slowed down (unless it's a good thing!)

vallinnapod · 21/04/2011 11:40

I can't believe this person is 6 weeks behind me, yet has more of a bump. I am also a bit disappointed in myself in that there is someone in the DM's Seleb bit who I don't know Wink

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 11:43

So Cowboy were you just providing Frak's LO with some motivation then Grin

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 11:45

You call that a bump? She is actually sticking her tum out to make it look bigger and all.

nickelbaalamb · 21/04/2011 12:32

she is a bit, isn't she!
My bump's bigger than that! (but mine's mainly the too much food i've been eating....)

vallinnapod · 21/04/2011 14:03

After JKS's thread I googled 'tearing in childbirth' as i have no idea what the degrees of tearing mean.

I got plenty of results.

Some with pictures.

I hate Google.

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 21/04/2011 14:04

Vallinna - I guess you just have good stomach muscles! I don't so consequently am having to breathe in all the time so I don't look so big at work - may have to say I have eaten 100 easter eggs over the hols, as won't be back in for 10 days Wink

you wait, you'll wake up in the morning one day and think where the hell did that come from? Grin

KateeHasABunInHerOven · 21/04/2011 14:04

nooooooo don't go near google for stuff like that. You'll have nightmares! Grin

ConfessionsOfAnAchingFanjo · 21/04/2011 17:03

Blimey Vallinna! That was daft keen. Google is for tame stuff like which foods contain what vitamins and minerals etc. Not for what you've typed in.

frakyouveryverymuch · 21/04/2011 17:33

Marc made his entry into the world at 16.33 local, weighing in at 8lb4 giving mummy a second degree tear and 51cm long. 2 hours of solid BFing after I was stitched and we're in hospital supposedly settling for the night but I'm way to psyched!

OP posts:
cowboylover · 21/04/2011 17:37

vallina that's not a bump just some shameless sticking out of the belly, I bet if she moved her arm she would practically doing a crab!

Saw my own MW today and she said the contractions I have been having are probably my body trying to get baby to engage rather than go in to labour as she keeps coming back up. Been told not to get to many small clothes or worry about birth weight but to know she's big and with a big head but is trying her best to get into the best position for labour which is apparently the most important thing Hmm

cowboylover · 21/04/2011 17:39

Congratulations frak I am super pleased for you x

Fuzzywood · 21/04/2011 18:08

Congratulations Frak great news.

Very exciting to hear of more JS babies.

TTL DS is Evan (or little sod when he wants to play at 3am and 4am and 5am), only joking it's all more than worth it.
