HI everyone, I know it is very early but I got a very faint positve line this morning, and another at lunch, and another at tea time! Was not due AF till Thurs but was meant to be going for a proceedure that involved radiation tomorrow so needed to do checks and here I am, and there I will not be! I have already got 2 and not told OH yet but need to tell somebody! Anyone else yet?

I'm off for a walk now...not sure where the sunshine has gone but at least it'll be some fresh (if London) air!

Anyone got any thoughts re. me using up 4 eggs which will go out of date tomorrow?! usually i'd just have bacon and eggs for tea tonight or an omelette but bit nervous about having eggs as am sure it's on the 'don't do list'!? is it just that I have to make sure they are totally cooked through (ie no runny yoke?)

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 18/04/2011 13:21

hello ladies - welcome newbies!

flee you're prob not watching the thread any more but just in case, hope you're ok and so sorry.

bluecrane eggs are fine so long as they're cooked through

I told the other person who runs my theatre company with me about the pregnancy yesterday and despite him being initially pleased and supportive, horrid emails have since been flying back and forth and I just want to hide my head in the sand

Which is handy, as I'm going on holiday tomorrow....

BlueCrane · 18/04/2011 14:03

Thanks mousey re eggs...though what a pain about your business partner...hope it all sorts out amicably!

My brain feels like mush and I want to sleep!!!

BeeMyBaby · 18/04/2011 14:33

StrawberriesAndScream thanks for your post, again really reassuring. I've got myself a GP appointment for tomorrow just incase - I suppose I am comparing this to my last PG as its fairly different so far.

I was getting extremely tired with work then coming home to look after DD (14 months) but this morning DH took her on holiday with him for three weeks to see his family - so I suppose I will get some rest - though will also be very lonely. Be prepared for lots of posts here!

Also, hi all the newbies - have we got anyone due for 31st Dec yet?

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 14:54

Mousey Hope thing between your business partner works out.

DP is driving me up the wall today :( and breathe!

Home from work, hungry but I don't know what to eat, and very tired. DD is with Grandad for the day so chill out for me now.

Hello December Mums,

Congratulations to all!

I am due on or around 3rd December... pregnant with my first. So far, i have had a reletively normal pregnancy from what i can gather. The odd stretchy pain, sore boobs, the onset of morning sickness this past week. This weekend however, i began spotting fairly heavily and worried. Spoken to a community midwife and saw an emergency doctor this morning who has referred me to the Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit tomorrow for an early 7 week scan. Very nervous but doctor reassured me that without any pain everything is probably ok. All being well, i get to hear my babies heartbeat tomorrow. Just wondering if anyone else has recently gone through these worries?

x

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 16:09

Jo Hopefully everything will be okay with you tomorrow. sorry I have no advice to add.

I have a question, is it okay to fly in your first trimester? We're going on holiday in May I'll be around 8wks then.

jo102jo · 18/04/2011 16:12

Hi Darcie, I flew to Ireland on Monday last week. Researched it and perfectly ok in early pregnancy. When your pregnancy is in the later stages you need to obtain a fitness to fly certificate from your GP but all being well you'll be fine.

Staying positive about tomorrow, hopefully all this worry will result in an amazing surprise getting to hear the heartbeat.

x

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 16:27

ahh thanks Jo that'll put my miind at rest a little bit.

Tomorrow you'll not only get to see your baby on screen and see and hear a heartbeat aww cool. FX everything is alright for you.

adalle · 18/04/2011 17:21

Hi peeps crikey what a lot to catch up on this thread is growing fast!! Hi to all the new names.

I got to see my GP again today I suspect they haven't referred me to the ante natal yet as waiting to see if I was going ahead - some confusion on their part not mine. All my bloods were fine apart from sugars a little up so repeating the tests but I get that every year so not that concerned. I think they are going to treat me as a diabetic even though I am not technically!

I had a very weird weekend, as follows
Very vivid and not pleasant dreams twice - 1 about an MC
News of my pg spread further than I would have liked me got snappy again considering a name change
Early symptoms vanished and I was convinced it was all over
Whilst out visiting got bitten by a flea all over one arm - not pleasant again

to say I was relieved to get home and in my own bed is a huge understatement! Smile

BlueCrane · 18/04/2011 17:25

Oh adalle sounds like a tough weekend! The vivid dreams are apparently a symptom so I shouldn't worry that your symptoms are easing off! They seem to go up and down from what I've read anyway. Are the docs going to refer you now and get things moving for booking in etc?

adalle · 18/04/2011 17:37

Hi Blue yes finally after 2 weeks or nearly they are, so much for the urgency before!

TBH I'm not that panicky now as DH has settled down too he was more panicky. He says he is going to monitor what I eat therefore I give our marriage less than a month to survive!! Maybe a week at tops. (joke) he has no chance he is so naive to think he can control a hormonal woman.

I read about the dreams but was stunned when I had them flipping graphic and made me suspect it's me against everyone - paranoia or what?

My sis became very protective when pg and once a mum so I bet it's all chemicals in the head.

Xiaoxiong · 18/04/2011 17:38

Welcome to all the newcomers! Well after all my worry about no symptoms back in the early stages of this thread, now at 7+6 I:

  • have grown out of every bra I own and my boobs are so sore I can't lie on my stomach. The first 10 minutes after putting a bra on or taking it off are agony, from the compression/decompression I guess
  • got yet another spring cold which is apparently because your immune system is suppressed during pregnancy
  • when my nose isn't stuffed up/streaming I have developed the nose of a bloodhound - could smell from the other room when DH opened the fridge! (and fridge recently cleaned so it's not just because we are slovenly)
  • having the freakiest dreams!! DH is having great fun psychoanalysing me every morning.

Guess that's enough symptoms for me for now - still so thankful I'm not hurling every 5 minutes.

adalle · 18/04/2011 17:51

Oh and another grumble last time I went to docs I thoughtfully took a pee sample and they didn't want it today they wanted one and could I go? Could I bugger! I nearly growled.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 17:54

Adalle Thats always the way when they want you to pee you just can't lol.

I don't think I want these freaky dreams you ladies are on about.

Just had a lovely dinner cooked by DP but feel abit bleurgh now.

jomouse · 18/04/2011 17:55

Does anyone on the thread have cats/pets and, wierd question, do you think they know? Mine are following me about and draping themselves over mybelly at every given opportunity and clawing at me. Most bizarre and not their usual behaviour. Wonder if they can pick up on hormone levels or something...

Hope you are all well. Here's to getting another week closer to "safety" and being able to tell people x

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 17:56

Jo I don't have pets but I do think they sense when somethings going on.

adalle · 18/04/2011 17:58

It doesn't help that they have the loo in reception facing all the seated patients and no vanity door etc not conducive to going! Architects should be shot or whichever pillock came up with that money saving idea.

adalle · 18/04/2011 18:00

Hi Jomouse I have both and the dog definitely seemed to sense something she 'cuddles' me more. The cat is just nuts and uses me as a convenient cushion.

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 18:02

Just take a sample in each time just incase :)

adalle · 18/04/2011 18:04

That's me plan from now on I won't be caught out again.

Oh and they've given me some litmus paper things to test it to at home - does everyone get them?

adalle · 18/04/2011 18:05

/too/

DarciesmumandBump2 · 18/04/2011 18:07

No to the papers thing but maybe they just want to closely monitor you.

adalle · 18/04/2011 18:07

tyrelperion I would ask your DH to unravel mine but I don't want to know!! Lol

BeeMyBaby · 18/04/2011 18:35

as I now have a severe amount of time on my hands, do people mind if I add their ages to the stats thread?
