Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
bumpsnowjustplump · 04/04/2011 13:39

Hello all sorry I havent been able to check in over the weekend but dd has been really poorly. Dont know what she has but has had a temp of 39.4 all weekend and been lathargic and constantly has a headache..

I had my scan on friday and all seems well with the baby. It has grown normally and has heartbeat so all really good there, the only problem is that the (TMI sorry) jelly like stuff that i have been losing is my cervix and while it isn't a problem at the moment it could be if it carries on or gets worse. So I am on strick orders to rest as much as I can. DP was there as well so he cant say I am making that bit up, doctor even looked at him when he said it lol..

Hope that you all had a lovely mothers day yesterday

cep · 04/04/2011 13:54

yay for great scan ladies. Grin

lets hope it continues.

Poppet45 · 04/04/2011 13:55

It wasn't my fault!!! I have half of my appts and scans at Dunfermline but deliver at Kirkcaldy and it has the EPU.... I swear my midwife told me Dunfermline when she phoned through with an EPU appointment!! But it was in fact in the total opposite direction. Ahem. Of course with my pregnancy brain I'll leave it to you to judge the reliability of this witness.

cassandraB · 04/04/2011 14:04

Excellent news blue and poppet - FX these are a good omen for the rest of us

Bluetinkerbell · 04/04/2011 14:04

haha Poppet Wink yup pregnancy brain is doing it's job here as well. DH keeps double checking things, as he now realised I keep forgetting things.

take it easy bumps hope all will stay ok for you!
I'm under strict orders from DH and work to rest this week, even though MW said I could continue with normal activities.

TerrysNo2 · 04/04/2011 14:21

Yay for babyPoppet too!!

Bump do you mind if I ask how much "stuff" you have been losing? I have this jelly/snot like stuff but its only a really small amount each day. I haven't worried about it but wonder if I should?!? Confused

OP posts:
bumpsnowjustplump · 04/04/2011 14:25

Terry I dont mind at all. Mine has been brown/orange in colour then was bright red and is really thick Jelly. First day I had it I had to use towels as it was so much but it has got less now.

If your is clear or yellow and only a little then it sounds like normal CM.

TerrysNo2 · 04/04/2011 16:26

Thanks bump it has only been clear / yellow and there is only a tiny bit. I wasn't so worried but I couldn't remember it from DS. You forget everything!!

Hello everyone. Sorry for joining and running on Saturday. Had my scan today. All is fine. Pup measures 4.9mm and has been dated at 6+1wks. Saw a heartbeat too (YAY) which was just amazing,

Just catching up?..

folic the stats are in our favour having seen a heartbeat. But of course nothing is guaranteed. Just got to have faith your bean is a sticky one! There are many stories of people having good scans and then the babies dying, but then also I have read so many other positive stories of people who have had terrible scares but early scans have been ok and they have continued to be ok. Having said that, I am feeling extra positive today after my scan, but no doubt when I hit 9 weeks (if not before) I?ll be a blubbering mess as that?s when our last little bean died. Sorry, that was meant to cheer you up, not end on a downer!

Trufkin I found fresh ginger and lemon in hot water helped my ms last time.

Iktoday I hope you got through yesterday ?ok, so sorry about your mum.

katie hope your dd is ok after eye surgery

Yay for good scans from poppet and blue

cep good luck tomorrow sweet

I?m still largely without symptoms. My boobs are swelling at lightening speed, but other than that ? of and erm my wind [wind] nothing else sp speak of. I suppose I shouldn?t complain as it was awful last time! The sleeplessness is a killer as it really made my ms (which was morning noon and night) much worse

Truffkin · 04/04/2011 17:04

Hello ladies and congratulations on such good news for all of our scanees today! Really a happy day for our thread Grin

I'm still training for my place at the vomiting olympics! Struggling to keep much down, but managing water and dry bread so far. Am still eating meals (plain as I can manage) but nothing seems to agree with me. If it carries on for much longer I will of course seek medical advice but for now am employing a bit of trial and error.

I have managed to move my midwife 'booking in' appointment to 17th April, which is a Sunday! I really didn't know I would be able to get appointments at the weekend, but am really pleased as it means I don't need to take any time off work before people know about the pregnancy.

I had a lovely day yesterday, DH bought me a 'mum to be' card (totally unexpected, he just saw them when he bought cards for our Mums) and left me in bed whilst he cleaned the kitchen, then made breakfast for me! We did a bit of tidying and pottering in the afternoon before having a roast beef dinner (we bought a lot of stuff ready made from M&S so DH could do most of the work!)

I will have to admit to a slightly Blush sickness moment on Friday evening. DH was watching an episode of V when the alien woman fed regurgitated rat to an alien baby. Well, I had to make a speedy exit to the bathroom and DH turned the programme off, but not before he'd had a good laugh at me - oops!

bumpandisaacsmum · 04/04/2011 17:48

Congrats to those with good news from scans :)

Am so glad that I am off work this week and next as tiredness is draining, only done a couple of things today (hours worth of work type things) and I am already ready for bed... despite having an afternoon nap Shock I don't think it helps that I'm not sleeping much at night :(

MS has been at it's worse today, nothing I have eaten has agreed with me and constant nausea means eating anything in the first place is a struggle!!

Blue listen to your body and your DH and rest, glad all is well though

Bumps I hope you manage to rest as prescribed, hopefully it will settle soon

alicat10 · 04/04/2011 18:03

Fab news Blue and Poppet

goldmaple · 04/04/2011 18:38

Glad to hear everything is okay poppet and blue

folic Hope you are feeling better! Being emotional and googling like crazy might be a pg sign in itself (I do it too), but has never made me feel better . Like Collie said there is never any set signs....

I'm at 8+5 and actually feel pretty good today. Hoping that the MS has passed for good but if not at least I am getting a bit of a break so I'll take what I can.

Any 1st timers have bumps yet? I got nothing and my boobs have only grown a bit.

Love all the cute mother's day stories! Can't wait until next year when I get to participate (as the mum:)) Hope everyone feels good this week!

smilingcl · 04/04/2011 19:20

I've got a bump, problem is it only arrives in the afternoon and consists solely of rumbling wind....

Folicacid · 04/04/2011 20:13

That's brilliant news Poppet Blue and Collie- hope you are all having a fab evening.

I'm feeling a bit more sane today. Called the EPU to talk about bleeding- funnily enough Bump it was jelly-like at weekend, which is what made me so worried. They have asked me to go in for a scan tomorrow morning so I hope this will be good news.

Goldmaple OH said something similar last night when I was snotting and blubbering on him Grin

chipmonkey · 04/04/2011 20:44

Oh, I have a bump! But then I always have a bit of a belly, even when not pg.

ochaye · 04/04/2011 21:03

Oh what a lovely day it's been on our thread today! The sun is shining on us for sure. Congratulations everyone. You've been vaguely tempting me to go and get a private early scan but I've waited this long ...

Good luck for tomorrow cep ... fx ...

lktoday5 · 04/04/2011 21:48

collie thanks so much for thoughts. Had a lovely day with best mate and god daughter so I managed to smile. Like lots of us my symptoms have eased dramatically. Having whinged to high heaven bout the sickness I'm now stressing bout nothing going on! Hopefully it's all fine but I haven't had my scan date yet so don't know how much longer to fret for!!

Huge congrats to all those with good scans. So nice to see so much sunny news. Cep fx for tomorrow.

bumpandisaacsmum · 04/04/2011 22:23

goldmaple when pg with my ds I didn't know until I was 24weeks (no tale-tell symptoms or bump Blush). Once I found that I was I only had a slight bump, which looked more like I'd just put on a little weight, until about 34 weeks then suddenly out of no-where I was all baby bump and my boobs doubled in size Shock

This PG though Fri week 6 I was fitting into my work trousers fine, come Monday (week 7) I had no chance of doing them up let alone be comfortable - summer uniform came out (elasticated trousers).... luckily didn't see my manager otherwise I would have had some explaining to do as we are not meant to wear them until May!!

Am a little nervous about tomorrow as have my MW booking appt, I know it will be fine and I know roughly what to expect but still worried but not sure why Confused

Collie2 · 04/04/2011 22:44

iktoday glad you had managed to smile yesterday. You must be further on than me (i'm 6+1) as i've spent the last 2 weeks stressing about the lack of symptoms as they've not arrived yet. I should be enjoying the puke free weeks i know, but somehow i think feeling like sh*t would be reassruring.

The only bump i've got is from too many puddings, but i do have one HUGE boob....just the one mind. Confused

Good luck to bump at mw apt tomorrow, and to cep for scan and any other scanners.

chipmonkey · 05/04/2011 00:30

Cep, fx for tomorrow!

I am going away for a few days so don't think I'll be on. Good luck to everyone with upcoming scans!

cep · 05/04/2011 07:25

thanks ladies, am really scared. if it's ok today then the baby will have gotten further than last time. am just so worried i'll hear those words "i'm sorry" again. I won't be able to come back until after work, so not until 13:00 ish.

folic fx for your scan this morning.

bump good luck at mw.

cassandraB · 05/04/2011 07:58

cep huge fx for scan today and lots of virtual hand-holding when you get there. Hope they don't make you wait and you come away with good news and some photos of a very sticky bean.

Katiebeau · 05/04/2011 08:08

CEP - massive amounts of good luck been sent to you. Fingers and toes crossed for you. xxx

Katiebeau · 05/04/2011 08:12

Hello Everyone - it was lovely catching up with all the news this morning. DD is doing much better now and is wrapping her Grandparents around her little finger!!!! DH home tomorrow night and I have really missed him. Especially as MIL has turned all sycho on him again because he didn't make it to see her on MD - 2.5 hr round trip I might add not 48hrs after DD operation. I'm not sure how she expects me to spend my MD!!! Angry
