Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Diege · 04/04/2011 17:38

Hello Smile. Good to hear from you BUMPS. Fingers crossed they'll keep an eye on your cervix; I know from experience of they know there might be a problem they can keep an eye on you, so good from that point of view. Take care x
TINKS, sounds like a busy morning!
SES, fingers crossed for you; don't read anything into that bfn just yet. How was your temp today? I must say you have a great LP, which is half the battle.
Have to deal with a chicken (roast) now. Not going to be easy as this is my worst time for nausea - at least it will bring on the vom if it is meant to be!

essenceofSES · 04/04/2011 18:31

Diege - thanks but I just feel like AF will appear any moment IYKWIM. Just wish she'd hurry up instead of teasing!
Chart is here but as you can see I think my temp has been a bit all over the place over the weekend with the cold/bug I had.
If my temp goes upwards in the morning I may test again but I'm so convinced AF is on her way, it's just annoying that there is a slight doubt in my mind just because it's not here yet! LP is usually 12 days but illness may have delayed AF??!

Hope your prep of the roast chicken wasn't too vom inducing....

tink - sounds like a very productive morning!

Bumps - sorry DD is poorly. It's no fun when they're ill and lethargic. You can't even enjoy the cuddles properly as you know it's because they're ill. Hope she feels better very quickly.
Also glad they're going to keep an eye on you but hope the rest of your pregnancy is uneventful!

Diege · 04/04/2011 19:04

Hmm yes agree SES your chart is ambiguous. Heading in the right direction now, but as you say colds etc do play havoc. Does it help you (mentally) to test to sort of prepare yourself? I know personally tests just torture me, and I'd never believe a neg anyway. In the end I think I just kept the one but well out of bathroom reach.
Chicken ok! Had a small vom before hand, but actually enjoyed the meal which is a first for a while. Thinking maybe sickness has peaked now I'm 9 wks ish and is returning to 5-7 week levels?

tinksbabyis2 · 04/04/2011 21:45

essenceofSES · 05/04/2011 06:16

Well, a clear indication this morning from a big temp drop that AF is around the corner :(

tinksbabyis2 · 05/04/2011 11:37

oh no ses !!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 06/04/2011 07:55

Hi Everyone
Sorry for having not properly caught up since before my hols. Have been lurking then.

Ses- did AF arrive? :( sorry if it did.

Diege and Bumps - glad your respective bumps are ok. :)

Hi Tink, Rugby, Star and everyone else lurking
x

essenceofSES · 06/04/2011 09:07

Morning!

Giraffe - yes, AF duly arrived yesterday afternoon. Had a bit of a cry and a chat with DH as it feels like I've been ttc for nearly a year. In reality that's not the case as DH asked to delay things, but that's how long it is that I've been wanting to be pg. I know he's now really keen for DC2 as well but it's just not happened yet for us. There's a few RL people who I find very insensitive as well. I never lie if people ask if we're ttc so - not many - but a few have gathered. I get comments like "You just need to have more sex!" and "Well you can't be very fertile" and even just blatant "so are you pg yet?" None of which are very helpful and just exaccerbate my feelings of failure.
(Oh what a drama queen I am!)

Hello everyone else - sorry not to chat more (about you guys!) but got to get ready for our usual fun-filled Wednesday - pilates, Jo Jingles and soft play here we come!!!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 06/04/2011 09:33

Oh, Ses- no wonder you are fed up with comments, those things are awful and very insensitive and certainly don?t help the situation.

You are not a drama queen at all ? its good to acknowledge how you feel about it and good that you have been able to chat to DH about it.

As you know, you have lots of support here on the wagon so come and chat here anytime, share your chart etc.

Sends over un MN-y hugs disguised as brownies.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 06/04/2011 09:41

Morning.

Ses- sorry to hear af arrived :( it must be a horrible feeling after wanting to be pg so long- I had a tough time when it took 3mths to conceive dd2... Cant imagine how it must feel after longer! Are you just temping? Or have you been using opk's? I swear by opk's after using them for dd2 and getting caught 1st time with surrogate pregnancy.

Hello everyone else, started with bad aching across my pelvis area of my tummy yesterday morning, started bleeding in the evening after stopping Thursday am... Still bleeding now Hmm ? Been quite active with exercising so wondering if thats caused it...

tinksbabyis2 · 06/04/2011 09:48

morning

sorry ses!!

cant take carex could be excersing

GingerbreadGiraffe · 06/04/2011 09:57

Can't - could it be first AF since giving birth? I forget how long its been.

If not, I'd get that checked out again. Even if its call to MW or docs surgery for reassurance. Im sure its just things moving back into place etc, but I'd say there is no harm checking. I've no idea but I'd be worried with it being a VBAC etc.

essenceofSES · 06/04/2011 09:59

Aww thank you for the kind words Cant and Giraffe
I am temping, using OPKs and using CBFM
I think one of those insensitive comments may be right and we need to be having more sex at the right time. We only managed twice in my fertile days last month as DH was away in Ireland for rugby. This month in theory should be better from that perspective.

Cant - sorry for bleeding again. Take it easy today (if you can!) and definitely get it checked out if it persists.

Right! I've secretly scoffed all those brownies that Giraffe made so who's for another batch?!

GingerbreadGiraffe · 06/04/2011 10:11

Talking of TTC - got a bit of a dilemma re work / having DC2.

I?ve got an opportunity to work overseas for min of 18mths. Would be fabulous work opportunity, something that won?t come up again and location means we should be able to have more family time/ better hols/ weekends etc. What we really need at the moment.

It would mean not trying for DC2 until after we get back so essentially 2 years from now.

I don?t want to regret missing opportunity to live in another country (essentially paid for) but I don?t want to do that then find having DC2 doesnt happen because its too late.

What do you guys think?

PS DH is keen on move so no issue there

Rugbylovingmum · 06/04/2011 10:18

Mmmm, I'll have a brownie if there are any going!

Morning Ses, really sorry for AF and Angry for all the insensitive comments. At least 3 or 4 of my friends took ages to conceive their DC2 so I think it is a much more common issue than people realise - it did happen in the end for all of them (all between about 7-18 months) so I'm sure you will get that BFP and I have everything crossed for you that it is soon. It is amazing that if you have DC1 people seem to think it is okay to be totally insensitive about you trying for DC2 and make such crappy comments Angry!

Giraffe - how were the hols?

Cant - maybe you should give the doctor and take it easy for a few days - your body has been through a lot so maybe it's just asking for a little rest.

Hi Diege, Tink, Gruff, Bump, any other lurkers

We have decided to head up to Scotland this weekend to see our friend's twin girls - they are 8 weeks now so I can't wait to have a cuddle. I've given in to DP's pestering though and agreed to camp for the night Hmm. I usually really enjoy camping but it's still cold and it seems a faff for the one night but we are skint and it's very cheap so it's probably for the best.

bumpsnowjustplump · 06/04/2011 12:18

Ginger all I can say is go for it. You are by no means old and as Deige and i have shown age is no indicator anyway.

ses so sorry AF arrived. i know how you feel. It took DP and I 7 months to conceive ds, it is not a good time. TTC is a minefield and no one can really help you so you feel so alone.. xx

tinksbabyis2 · 06/04/2011 13:11

Afternoon

Hi bumps great 2 hear from u
Ginger a hard decision 2 make I guess it depends
Whether u would rather hv a child sooner
Ses hopefully it won't take long 4 u 2 be pregnant
I can't really comment came off the pill 2 try 4 both dds
Tk 6 mnths with dd1 and 3mnths with dd1
It is hard especially when u get comments
Hv ordered girls doodles into store today so sunny
And warm today

cantmummyhaveabreak · 06/04/2011 13:46

Afternoon- have spent most of the day led on the sofa resting. Bleeding seems to be easing again... Really odd having a few 24hr bleeds... Will be keeping an eye on it tho. I hate going to the gp unless I really need to, however with having such a high pain threshold I can quite easily grin and bear something that may be more serious! So I never know when its time to do something! Haha!

Dont plan to be doing much tomorrow either so I'll be fit enough for shopping for dd1's birthday presents on Friday and a day out at gullivers for the big day on Sat!

Giraffe- I do think the opportunity with work would be an amazing experience to miss out on. How old are you now? Because, as bumps said, age shouldn't restrict you really! :)

GingerbreadGiraffe · 07/04/2011 10:43

Glad you've been resting Cant. Hope things continue to improve.

I will be 34 this year- so there is time. I think I just had the idea of having all kids by age of 35.

Not really a contraint I guess.

tinksbabyis2 · 07/04/2011 11:00

morning Grin
gladu relaxed cant Grin

hi ginger

essenceofSES · 07/04/2011 16:37

Hello all!

Giraffe - I'd say go for it with the job as I get the feeling you'll regret it if you don't! You are still young enough ( Envy )to have that option with time for another DC or 2 or 3 or 4.... afterwards!
Is it anywhere exciting? Could we have a Wagon exotic getaway?!

Cant - hope you're doing ok today and get to go shopping tomorrow and enjoy DD1's birthday on Saturday.

Bumps - is DD fully recovered now?
TTC is a minefield and I am stupidly impatient! I'm hoping for a January 2012 baby now!

Rugby - how's the weight loss going? I'd lost 4 pounds in 6 weeks which is a bit frustrating but then I probably ruined it all yesterday as I ate a bag of crisps, a slice of cheesecake and a Twirl Blush I blame AF!

Hello tink, Gruff and anyone else around!

Diege · 07/04/2011 17:34

Hello! I would also say go for the job GIRAFFE, especially as SES says you have age on your side! What a great opp, and there will be babies to look forward to after Smile I had always said I didn't want to be changing nappies in my 40s and here I (happily) am...
SES, sorry to hear about af Sad and for the insensitive comments. I know that people will be surprised to hear I am pregnant and I am preparing for the looks and comments (probably the thing I am most worried about!).
CANT, how are you feeling today?
Still sick here - ok yesterday then bad again today. 9 weeks and 1 day - surely not much longer now!!

tinksbabyis2 · 07/04/2011 21:37

Evening
Hi,ses and diege
Diege hopefully sickness will fade soon
Had a gd day here
Tom getting dd2s doodle trainers and sandals

GingerbreadGiraffe · 08/04/2011 08:43

Thanks for nice comments ladies. :)

Ses- will advise location via FB message. Dont want to out myself!

Tink- which doodles/ sandals are you getting? I've looked at website and I am not sure what the best kind are for everyday wear.

Rugbylovingmum · 08/04/2011 10:10

Hi Giraffe - can you FB me too (initials SB), I am sooooo nosy Blush. I'd go for it too, you sound so positive about it and it will be great to have some quality family time before adding DC2.

Ses - the weight loss has been a disaster. I lost about 5 or 6 lb then had a couple of stressful weeks and piled it back on. Now I'm struggling to find the motivation to start again. My friends hen do is in July and I really want to lose some weight by then but it's just hard to get going.

Cant - how are you feeling today?

Diege - hope the sickness eases off soon.

Tink - must look for some summer shoes for DD soon. We had to buy some new shoes last week as she has gone up a full size but she doesn't like them and keeps taking them off.

It is my SILs official due date today but still no sign of my niece or nephew, I was hoping the baby would be here by now as we are going to visit friends near DB and DSIL this weekend and we could have seen the baby then too. Fingers crossed SIL goes into labour today or Sat - she is hoping for that too as she says she is fed up of being pregnant (I remember that feeling!).
