Young-ish first timers in East London

Hello,

Have been looking on Mumsnet for a few weeks now but this is my first proper post.

I've just turned 23 and am expecting my first baby on the 5th of September. I don't really know many people in London as it is let alone anyone who's pregnant so would love to be able to meet other first time Mums in my area.

I am currently at Uni in my final year - due to finish in May.

Before finding out I was pregnant I used to enjoy going out around East London and going to festivals - which I'm hoping I'll still be able to do as I've got Glastonbury tickets and will be nearly 7 months, eek.

Would love to find some like minded people to chat to and who have a similar due date to me.

what you could do if you wanna find people in your area, is see if any childrens centres near you have young parents group cos sometimes they have one for under 25s so you can meet people of a similar age living nearby that have babies

Hi Rosey, I am in North East London, about 20 mins walk from Hackney so prob not too far fom you. Also a student, graduating this year. I have a couple other friends and we are all young mum's / mum's to be and students so if you get this PM me.

Hi. I am slightly in the same situation as you, but not as young, I am 30. My partner and I are expecting twins in October and I don't know many people in London, I also would like to be able to meet other expectant mums in the area, I am SE16, Rotherhithe. Would be great to hear from you all
