Pregnant in Milton Keynes?

Hi Ladies,

Is there anyone else on here who is pregnant and living in the Milton Keynes area?

I haven't yet moved GP surgery, after moving to MK recently and am interested to know about how antenatal care works in MK - for instance, I am keen to have a home birth, and in my previous county there is a specific home birth team who come to your house for antenatal appointments - is this the same in MK?

Thanks in advance for any answers.

Never had a homebirth and not pregnant but have had 2 babies in Milton Keynes.

Thought I'd bump this for you anyway :)

Hello, only just seen this.
I'm in MK and have spoken briefly to my midwife about homebirth (am currently 33 weeks). The first time I mentioned it she said it would depend on staff levels Hmm however this was before they made some improvements to maternity services. She has since said that because of DS only taking about 6 hours she thought I would be an ideal candidate, but she won't really have a conversation about it properly until 36 weeks so don't really know any details of how they organise things. I'm not sure if I'm going to go down the homebirth route now but am keeping it as first option until I decide for definite otherwise. Hopefully I will have some decent info soon....to be fair I haven't really asked for any info in previous appointments, I'm sure she would be helpful if I asked :)
