Hi to all expectant mothers - and Congratulations! :)

MOTHER & BABY NEEDED for INFANT OBSERVATION IN LONDON - OCTOBER 2010 by a TRAINEE CHILD PSYCHOTHERAPIST at IATE

I am a first year trainee in Integrative Child Psychotherapy at the Institute for Arts & Therapy Education (IATE). An integral part of my training as a Child Psychotherapist is Infant Observation. This entails observing a mother and baby for one hour once each week.

The purpose of this is to develop an understanding of human development. It offers an unparalleled opportunity of learning about infancy and infant development through direct observations of an infant in relation to family members, especially the mother, within the context of normal family life.

My role will be to maintain a benign, neutral and non-judgemental presence.
The observations will be 40 weeks of each year, for 2 years. Your baby needs to be as close to birth as possible, and no older than one month.

CRB check is a mandatory requirement of my Training Institute, and documentation of this can be provided, along with a letter of reference from my Training Institute.

If you are an expectant mother and live in London and this sounds like something that may interest you and your baby, please contact me on:
