Me too Cerealqueen Sad i have started spotting today and getting some cramps.
I had a scan last fri to check for ectopic and i measured a wk smaller than i should have been.My bloods were great but all scanner could see was an empty sac(she couldnt even find one of my ovaries)so im fearing the worse.

TumTumGnu · 10/10/2010 16:37

Oh Cerealqueen, I'm so sorry. Make sure you take it easy. I hope everything turns out ok with you as well Totallyfloaty. we're all thinking of you both.

I am definitely an afternoon sickness person! The past couple of days now I just feel crap between about 1 and 4. I have spent today formulating a plan to get me through work and have just gone out and bought packets of miso soup, dried fruit and lots of bananas. I'm going to try the eating small amounts over the afternoon in the hope that this will keep everything a bit more settled. Luckily I have just moved to a new office oposite the toilets with new people who hopefully will just think it is normal for me to munch all afternoon and keep running out of the room every 5 mins Wink

Welcome to the group broughthimround. Congratulations! Grin

Cerealqueen and totallyfloaty so sorry to hear such sad news. Thinking of you xxx

79monica · 10/10/2010 20:35

Hello,

I'd like to join your thread, please.

I got a positive test yesterday. We got married 8 weeks ago and started trying straight away, it's happened a bit quicker than either of us were expecting!

I think that I am due sometime between 14 and 25 June (different websites give different answers) and I'm also not really sure of my cycle length because I have only had one really short period since coming off the pill before our wedding.

I have had mild on/off queeziness throughout the day (which weirdly goes away if I eat) and have been very thirsty but otherwise no particular symptoms.

I'm looking forward to sharing the next 8-9 months with you :)

GoodVibrations · 10/10/2010 20:41

cerealqueen and totallyfloaty I am so sorry to hear your news, take care both of you

mrshedgie · 10/10/2010 21:27

cerealqueen and totallyfloaty

I hope things work out well for you.

TumTumGnu · 10/10/2010 21:31

Welcome 79monica! [wave]

I have also found that eating a bit helps with the sickness which is rather annoying when the idea of food makes me want to throw up...hmmm...sometimes you just can't win Hmm

Yarnie · 10/10/2010 21:34

Very sorry to hear your news cerealqueen and totallyfloaty. My thoughts are very much with you both.

I'm with all you ladies who are having an anxious start to their pregnancy. I don't know why I'm so pessimistic. I was the same last time. I mean, one should obviously be realistic, but I am really over-doing the worry.

I might even book an early private scan as all this cortisol can't be doing Sid any good.

I totally relaxed after my first scan.

Welcome to the newcomers!

sasamaxx · 10/10/2010 21:43

So sorry to hear that cerealqueen and totallyfloaty - thinking of you both.

Congratulations to all the newcomers as well Smile

Clarkiee · 10/10/2010 21:52

Hello- please can I join?

I'm due at around the 5th June (my cycles are a bit irregular so not quite sure).

It's my first- I'm very excited (but I'm also trying to stop myself being excited because I know that at this stage things can go wrong).

Had a few mild symptons, bit of cramp (at bit like period pains), occasional queasiness and sore (and a little bit lumpy- yuk) breasts.

All I want to do is tell people, but I know I can't yet, so it's lovely to share it with the 'June Gang'

LobstersLass · 10/10/2010 21:55

Totallyfloaty, I'm sorry to hear your awful news. Take care of yourself. Such a terrible time.

wonnaywombat · 11/10/2010 04:45

What PG books is everyone reading BTW?

I bought "What to expect when you're expecting" which I've found v helpful so far even though it's American focused (not that there's anything wrong with that other than all the z's instead of s's and the use of "mom"!)I also bought "The Fat Ladies Club" during first PG but didn't get around to diving into it before the mc so I'm holding off on that one until we hopefully get an all clear - superstitious? Moi?!

yellowtomato · 11/10/2010 08:51

I've got 'what to expect when you're expecting' Lesley Regan. I bought it for last time and read a lot of it but had MMC at about 5/6 weeks so it is still in the drawer at the moment. I have a sneaky look and put it back as I don't want to get too 'involved' at the moment IYSWIM

I am obsessively trying to find symptoms to reassure myself, I'm only 4+2 and it seems like forever to the 'safe' zone.

CuppaTeaJanice · 11/10/2010 09:07

cerealqueen and totallyfloaty so sorry to hear your news. I wish you all the best in the future.

Welcome to the newcomers!

wonnaywombat I had a really good book last time but I think it must be in the loft - I'll get DP to dig it out sometime! I have been reading the NHS book though. Those of us due late May/early June, our beans are now about 10mm long and have beating hearts. Next week the face and tongue will form! It's really amazing when you think about it!!

mrshedgie · 11/10/2010 09:33

Well, good morning!

So, I'm not getting particularly bad nausea as yet; just feel ill when I don't eat regularly, but not THAT ill. I hope it stays this manageable for now, lol.

This still feels unreal.

sasamaxx · 11/10/2010 09:34

Do they still give out Emma's Diary?

mrshedgie · 11/10/2010 09:36

Forgot to add that I should be about 6 weeks 5 days today, and by this time last pregnancy I'm sure I was feeling more ill, lol. I don't want to read too much into it, as I had sickness with one of my pregnancies and it didn't end well.

mrshedgie · 11/10/2010 09:38

Sasamaxx,

I got Emma's Diary from my midwife the other day, but she said not to tell anyone at the hospital she gave it me because the info on breastfeeding isn't 'up to scratch', lol. There's a little voucher in there to get a sample pack for pregnant mums, so might nip to a LLoyds pharmacy with it later.:-)

sasamaxx · 11/10/2010 09:55

Thanks mrshedgie - I just love freebies Grin and it reminds me of my first pregnancy too.

I'll ask a midwife for it when I see one - not worried about the bfing advice - I need advice on stopping never mind starting lol Smile

theQuibbler · 11/10/2010 10:28

Hello all.

Joining in - my due date is June 10th, and this will be my second child.

Am feeling v.nervous and tentative about this pregnancy, time seems to be going so slowly. Just want the weeks to go a bit faster, so I can have a scan and reassure myself! It all feels a bit nervewracking.

Hope to get to know everyone better in the following months Smile.

MoogHasNoBrain · 11/10/2010 10:42

Hi Everyone,

So sorry for you cerealqueen and totallyfloaty :(

I have been obsessively doing pg tests everyday. And today I did a digi which said 2-3 weeks - which equates to 4-5 weeks from 1st day of period so that has relaxed me a bit, since the other tests were showing such a feint line.

As lots of us feel, time is goig so slowly! And I don't have any symptoms really although i think I have imagined a few!

Bought a new book yesterday - can;t remember what it's called but it is a day by day guide to pregnancy Grin. Can';t wait to get home tonight and read today's page!

When are you going to book in to see the doctor?

featherblue · 11/10/2010 10:52

I have What to Expect... along with a few others. Haven't really gotten into them yet as I just feel completely normal at the moment! I'm 4+1 (is that how you write it?) today. Though I think the slightly American-ness of What to Expect will feel like home to me (am American). :)

I'm going to book in to see my GP on Thursday. I have hypothyroidism, so my thyroid has to be watched very closely, especially in the first trimester. Anyone else hypo? I've already increased my levothyroxine from 75 to 100. Hope to get my blood taken next week.

Hope everyone's feeling ok today!
