Just to let you know that Violet Grace was born on Sunday 24 July at 6.54 am weighing in at 8lb 6oz. Delivered on bathroom floor by my hero of a DH following a 59 minute labour! MW arrived 10 minutes later! All very fast, very intense, bit scarey at the time, but an amazing experience in retrospect.

DD1 is being the most wonderful big sister, cant stop cuddling her, DS wants a boy baby instead!

Homebirth was rather more DIY than anticipated, but it was just amazing getting into my own bath after with a big mug of tea out of my favourite mug and then snuggling up in my own bed after. Couldn't recommend it enough. Think DH has a new career ahead

A very happy household

Wow!

I don't think I'll mention this to DH... he's still terrified of homebirth as it is, can just picture his face if I mention him catching the baby!!!!
