Hiya sorry it's taken so long to post my story, the shit hit the fan 4 days after having him when DP left, so it's been a bit mental.

Anyway here goes!
There had been concerns over my BP late in pregnancy, which was a worry as I'd had Eclampsia in my 1st pregnancy. So at 40+1, I was given a sweep. It did bugger all. Well it gave me contractions and lots of show, but that was all. I was 1 measly cm dilated so there wasn't much hope for me yet.
So because of this, they booked me in to be induced at 41 weeks.
Anyway at MW appointment at 40+4 I was examined and MW said I was 3cm dilated, so I asked her to give me a really good sweep, which she did. Bugger all happened again. Well, actually I got loads of contractions and yet more show, but then they tailed off.
So I finally gave up. I hardly slept the night before I was due to go in for induction. I was terrified. I was meant to phone labour suite at 8am to see when they could take me in to break my waters.
At 6am I'd had enough of trying to be asleep so got up and had some breakfast. By 6.30am I was having contractions, quite strong, 3-5 mins apart. I wasn't getting my hopes up just yet as I'd had so many strong contractions after the sweeps that I was getting sick of thinking "is this it?" but they did keep coming and they were very regular. By 7.50 I thought stuff this I'm not waiting til 8 I'll just phone labour suite. They said brilliant, you've started yourself, just come in. Woohoo!
Got there at 8.20, had to moo holding onto the car in the car park, then at hospital door, then in the corridor, it was crazy.
I got there and met 2 lovely MW's who stayed with me throughout. They gave me the gas and air and it became my new best friend.
I was examined and they said I was 5 cms dilated. I asked if there was a pool I could use, but unfortunately it was already in use so they said I could have a bath.
Scrap that! The contractions suddenly started coming really close together and lasting for ages. I got up on the bed and found the most comfortable position which was putting the back of the bed right up, kneeling on the bed and leaning over the back. It was totally not what I had in my birth plan (water birth at MLU, using pool for labour and birth) but I found walking around or sitting on the ball really uncomfortable as baby was so low.
Anyway I camped up there for a while, leaning against the back of the bed. The gas and air was crazy. I was having to use loads of it to get on top of the pain, and it was making me really high and a bit trippy. At one point I looked out the window at DP's car and saw there was a rabbit on the grass next to it. That was real, but I started saying it was trying to break into DP's car. Then it all went a bit pear shaped! The rabbit outside was suddenly a rabbit on tellytubby hill, and I was giving birth on it with rabbits everywhere watching me. It was mad. I was aware of the MW in the distance saying contractions were coming thick and fast, so they'd check my progress.
I was 6-7cm dilated. They asked if I wanted them to break my waters. I said go for it. So they got me to lie down, and were just about to break the bag when it happened itself. A big whoosh all over the place, and staright away the urge to push. As I was still on tellytubby hill, totally out of my face, I asked MW if it was ok to just push the poo out first that I was needing
MW: that's the baby
Me: no it isn't I can feel it in my bum
MW: that's the baby
Me: fair enough, I'll just poo on the bed shall I?
MW: go for it
