Baby Rose was born on 8 April at 1.05am weighing 7lb!
By the time I got to hospital and had agreed to an examination I was 5cm - being a massive wimp was really elated as had only had paracetamol and lots of puffing and panting until then. I'm sure this helped with the labour. Had gas & air and lovely wrm shower and wandered around until about 10pm. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon and had great chilled ipod tunes it was all v surreal and calm. Maybe it was the gas & air - dp had to give it a bash just to check as we couldn't believe how calm I was
Anyway, it all speeded up and got hectic when it was decided to break my waters so had an epidural and finally gave birth to Rose at 1:05am. Trying to remember the lovely ealry part of labour as the second bit was full on. But hey, Rose is perfect which is all that matters
