Hi all,

Some of you know that I was expecting and just wanted to update that I had another dd on 6/12/08 - exactly on my due date.

We have named her Elora Annette and she is a total dolly face.

I had a section with dd 1 and was going to try for a VBAC but after 20 hours of labour with no progress, I decided that enough was enough and went for another c-sec. Fortunately, recovery hasn't been too bad although dd1 (who is 2) has really regressed and demonstrated her green eyed monster. This was totally unexpected as she was such a confident and well balanced child. She has been getting better but some days she is awful and has terrible tantrums...someone please reassure me that this will stop soon hmm]

Anyway, thanks for looking x

Love the name too !

Frizbe · 27/12/2008 22:05

congrats to you all, I'm sure dd1 will be ok with time.

thatsnotmymonster · 27/12/2008 22:09

Brilliant, congrats!

Your dd will be fine! Even the most self assured 2yo is not capable of handling all their emotions maturely when a new baby suddenly usurps them

Yurtgirl · 27/12/2008 22:11

Elora Annette is beautiful

Is Elora irish in origin? It is lovely!

Yurtgirl · 27/12/2008 22:12

Congratulations forgot to say that bit!

MatNanPlusTINSEL · 27/12/2008 22:22

Congrats and DD1 will adjust and love her sister.

lecohen · 27/12/2008 22:36

wow, I am touched by so many responses, thanks very much for your comments.

I do hope it won't take too long with dd1 as I get so sad to see her struggle with her feelings.

I came across the name Elora online and instantly loved it, I don't think it's Irish although it seems to have meanings in many languages so who knows lol.

Annette is after 2 grandmothers with the same name and quite liked it as a middle name.

I will try to put a pic of bubba on my profile
