Went in hosp on Friday 19th evening @ 9.30pm for an induction (i was having contractions for 3 lloonngg weeks), @ 10pm they inserted 2 pessary tabs, contractions came on strong for a few hours and then nothing was happening!......the next morning @ 8am they injected pessary gel was having strong contractions for a few hours and then nothing was happening .....in the end they broke my water and it came flooding out! . Had a Epidural, a few hours sleep and then on Sunday @ 9am, the midwife asked me to start pushing....@ 10.43am, baby was facing back to back and to my right but she rotated herself into the correct position for birth - phew!!.....baby Kiah (pronounced as Ki-ah and not Kee-ah) came out!.....
Ended with 2nd degree tear and internal stitches and badly bruises between my legs.
Kiah weight was 9lb 3.5oz and 20 ins long (she was 9 days late!)
im totally on cloud nine as was scared of having a emergency c-section like i did with DD1 (which i also had a induction but it was a quick labour etc but this labour was nice and slow.
