Weighing in at 10lbs 1oz, he arrived chomping away and has been feeding his face ever since.

Well done BE and family, lovely little chap

SirDigbyChickenCaesar · 10/08/2008 17:43

congrats! he's gorgeous!

Boobz · 10/08/2008 19:11

Edward Christpher Dominic. That gets my vote.

TigerFeet · 10/08/2008 20:18

I like Thomas. And Alexander. Edward is lovely, as is Luke. I remember Henry being in the running when BE was up the duff with your dd and loving it then. Anthony is adorable.

(the name of my fictional ds isn't on the list thank god or we would have to fall out)

MmeLindt · 10/08/2008 20:25

Congratulations, what a beautiful son you have.

Thomas is my favourite name from your list, with Alexander coming a close second.

madmouse · 10/08/2008 22:09

what a beauty!!!

RubberDuck · 10/08/2008 22:39

I love Thomas - would have gone for that for my fictional third ds, but a close friend has that for her ds2 (and her ds1 shares the name of my ds2!), so it's out of bounds for me (well that and the fact dh has had the snip )

EffiePerine · 11/08/2008 08:48

Congratulations

(and shares a birthday with my DH )

BabiesEverywhere · 11/08/2008 16:55

We decided on Edward Luke

belgo · 11/08/2008 16:58

Lovely names I hope you are recovering well BE?

bythepowerofgreyskull · 11/08/2008 17:01

Huge congratulations BE Edward is a gorgeous looking baby and a fabulous name.
Hope you are resting and recovering well.

BabiesEverywhere · 11/08/2008 17:32

Had no sleep for two nights due to the completely weird mothers on the maternity ward, including one who let her little darling scream for hours every night

I'm in a fair bit of pain/discomfort but managing to move around enough to get an early discharge from the hospital. Where I must say the staff were extremely lovely and supportive.

BabiesEverywhere · 11/08/2008 17:33

Feel sad about ending up with another 'non-birth' but he would never have been born naturally, whatever we tried.

belgo · 11/08/2008 17:35

BE- you did the best you could - and you have given birth to a beautiful baby boy - well done - you certainly haven't had a 'non birth'

NorthernLurker · 11/08/2008 19:07

Congratulations on your beautiful son. Lovely name for a lovely boy

cikecaka · 11/08/2008 19:10

Know how you feel babieseverywhere about 'nonbirth'. I have had 4 cs and have come to the conclusion that there is no medals at the end of it.The main thing is that your little bundle of joy is safe and secure in your arms. Love the name btw.

Poledra · 11/08/2008 21:06

BE, know how you feel as dd1 was emergency c-section and I felt for a long time that I hadn't 'given birth' to her. I would say let yourself grieve for not having the birth you wanted but remember that, in the end, it doesn't matter how your beautiful Edward Luke got here, just that he is here safe and sound.
