VBAC after planned Cesarian

I had a planned C section due for health reasons with my first baby. Wondered if anyone has experience of having a VBAC after a planned section (which I appreciate if far calmer and less traumatic than emergency) and if so, how the two compared in terms of the birth experience and the recovery? Did you find you had less bladder control after the VBAC vs c section? I found recovery pretty good after my section was back on my feet by 2 weeks and fully back to normal by 6.
im not against another c section but want to explore options and hear some honest opinions about VBACs.

I had an EMCS but it was due to DS heart rate dropping and I wasn't fully dilated so hadn't started pushing so perhaps more similar to a planned CS.
Recovery from my CS was easy and I didn't have excessive pain but it took a good 3 weeks until I was walking without flinching.
I had a VBAC with DS2. I was able to go out for a walk with the double pram a couple of days after birth. Could well have been sooner but I was stuck in hospital waiting for DS to have his release check as they didn't have a doctor free.

The difference was amazing. I could pick up toddler DS with ease. I did tear and lost a bit of blood but felt fine after I was sewed up (by a lovely female doctor who was focused on doing a really good job).
