Well sorry for the late announcement but here it is!

RYAN ALAN JOHN MOORE

was born at 4.08 am on 24th December 2007 (Christmas Eve). He was two weeks early and came after a 3 and a half hour labour (my first labour was 12 and a half hours long).

I woke up at 12.43am with 2 minute contractions (very fast labour!)and paced up and down the back room until about 2am when I woke my hubby and said - we need to go to hospital. Went to the hospital (had to go to emergency and spend about 20 mins being admitted with the lady asking me if I was contracting now (me grimacing with pain of contraction - answering through clenched teeth - YES!).

Was taken up to the assessment room and waited about half an hour for the midwife to examine me as she was with another patient (the lady wasn't in labour and was chatting!) meanwhile I was pacing up and down beside the bed and eyeing up the quick delivery kit bag!!

Anyway got examined and the midwife said I was 8cms dilated (was the same with 1st baby when I got to hospital with her!).

Then went into the birthing room and had some gas and air (but it just makes me feel sick! - started pushing and Ryan Alan (my dad) John (hubby's dad) Moore was born not long after.

He is a lovely 4 month old now and loves to smile and giggle and watch his big sister Allie talk and read to him.

Stef :-)
