Birth announcement cards

I hope I've put this in the right section!

I am in the process of designing some baby announcement cards for our DS and am just wondering what information people expect to see on the cards.

I've never been fascinated by exact birth times and weights of babies - but is it something most people want to know or should I just leave it with the name we've chosen and the date?

Any advice greatly appreciated!

Do people really do these?

My mother seems to think so....

I never did. is your DS born? (if that makes sense)

If you wna to do it, great, but if you're doing it because your mother says so, tell her to bog off!

I like your style!!!

No, DS not due until May, but I have a big extended family, who will require some sort of announcement, so it seems like a nice thing to do....

I have an idea I'm happy with, which is grafitti / banksy style, but not sure how much information I should look to include (I know I won't be able to fill it in properly for a while, but just want to get the artwork done)

(You haven't met my mother.... )

i like to know weight...not so bothered by time...and I want to know it in lbs and ozs please

sex, name, dob, weight

They are the interesting facts, s'pose it might be interesting if baby born at 12.01am on new years day or summat but elsewise I am not really interested in the time (can't remember the exact times that my own dcs were born at )
