When to tell my boss

When is the best time to tell your boss? I'm currently 7 weeks with my first 😁

I have a fairly stressful job, I'm a project manager for one of the largest exhibition centres in UK & we sometimes get involved in a bit of labour work installing for events.

My first midwife appointment isn't till end Nov & scan early Dec (day before our Xmas do!!)

I'm torn whether to wait till then or tell him earlier so he can be a bit more aware.

Hearing experiences will really help 😊

I think it really depends on how well you’re feeling and how much symptoms might be affecting your ability to do parts of the work. Would telling them mean you could cut back a bit on more stressful bits of the job?

I’m 8 weeks and haven’t told my boss yet as I’ve felt relatively well, and I can tailor my job a bit to be quieter if I need to. Also I want him to sign off on some funding for a training course which I know he will pull if I’m going to be off on maternity leave! A bit sneaky I know but… 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ll probably tell him around 13-14 weeks after my scan
