This is really to let everyone know in the Due in December thread that baby Cloudberry arrived unexpectedly on December 1st - due date December 24th!! She's a girl and weighed 6lbs 11. It was a brilliant birth; everything how I'd hoped - water birth, no pain relief just homeopathic remedies and special breathing techniques, plus incredible DP and midwives. Was a bit concerned because my waters broke then nothing really happened for 12 hours and they said if nothing had happened in another 12 hours I'd have to go to mainstream hospital and be induced. But we all pulled together and sheer determination and bloodymindedness meant that Matty arrived in just over 5 hours. She is an absolute joy. We are tired but over the moon and hugely pleased that she had arrived well in time for Christmas and that I don't have to forgo Christmas lunch!!
I can't find the Due in December thread anywhere so I hope that someone from it sees this cos I'd like to wish everyone on it tons of luck with their babies and births. xxx
