Hey

My sister in law (husbands sis) has just had a baby last week. When is appropriate to announce mine I'm 14 weeks and I think much longer will be hard to hide. Don't want anyone thinking I'm stealing thunder.

We told sil and bil and wider family after the 20 week scan. For both pregnancies.

We just wanted to make sure the scan went well, it’s an important milestone, they check for heart, kidney etc abnormalities. And these can happen without any chromosomal issues.

so you can do the same, they’ll know that this scan is important and will understand. I didn’t show that much until 18-20 weeks, you can wear lose clothes or stay away for the 18-20 weeks.

20 weeks after anomaly scan

I could never have waited until 20 weeks in either pregnancy. We waited until the 12 week scan and then shared the news. I don't think it is stealing thunder, unless you do it the same day as something significant. Do it when it feels right to you.

We didn't say anything until after 12 weeks. Say it when you're ready. It's nice news.

I wouldn't have been able to hide a PG until 20 weeks either.

I wouldn't of been able to wait till after 20 week scan
