Ds2 was born by elective c-section at 39 weeks, weighing 9lb 7oz. Was so convinced I was having a girl that it took us 2 days to come up with a name but we have (finally) called him Theo Daniel.

Unfortunately the hospital did not allow children in to visit due to anti-infection measures that are currently in place, so ds1 could not come and see us (although I didn't find out until I was in theatre, which made for a pretty hormonal moment...! ) but he is chuffed to bits to have us home and is a "really useful big brother".

Am recovering well, partly due to having the sleepiest baby in town (long may it last!!)

love the name Theo.

Well done you!!

NorthernLurker · 26/01/2008 19:33

Congratulations how lovely. though that they wouldn't let your ds1 in to see you - that is awful and must have been really hard. Hope you continue to recover and sleep!

geogteach · 26/01/2008 19:36

Congratulations. Glad DS1 is enjoying being a big brother, little geog asked yesterday when he was getting a baby (we were visiting a friends newborn), unfortunately for him being no3 he will only ever be a little brother

Surroundedbysnot · 28/01/2008 18:40

Well done - lovely name, unanimous agreement.

If DS could not visit, presumably DSD couldn't .... or .... ?

Surroundedbysnot · 28/01/2008 18:41

'Tis InsanityClaus by the way.

MrsWeasley · 28/01/2008 18:42

Congratulations

beansprout · 28/01/2008 19:35

Ah, thanks Insanityclaus!

Yep, she did visit and had a strop that she wasn't first up there either. Sigh... The ban was on children under 14. Visitors giving patients grief were still allowed!!
