Looking for a birth/postpartum Doula around London SE5...

I have looked in the doula.co.uk website and there aren't that many doulas that do both birth and post. I can see one or two that I'd like to contact, but they say you should interview a few before making your mind up and I don't seem to have that many in my part of town.

There is Marslady who seems to have a big fanclub at mumsnet but I can't find her in the listings - does she go by another name?

I am due on May 20th and am booked at St Thomas'. I get excited just thinking about it!!!

Any other recommendations welcome!

Hi conny.

Why don't you contact the ones that you like the look of? Some women click with the first doula that they meet.

Try calling them and having a conversation. Often that gives you an idea as to whether or not you'd all suit.

I reallly want to do a birth at St Thomas' but I'm away for a week of what would be your oncall and I've taken May off.

Anyhoo.... try the ones you've seen. Let me know how you got on (mars at mammydoula dot co dot uk)

HI MarsLady! Wow I didn't think it would be that easy to contact you! Thanks for replying so quickly! Sorry you can't make my dates though... I'll keep looking ;)
And I'll get in touch with the doula I've spotted.
Have a good holiday in May!

You're more than welcome!

Don't forget to check out some of the trainees as well.

Looking forward to my break so thank you.
