He's Here at Last!!! - Max Twinkie

Hi All

Sorry not been in touch - have had a nightmare me been ill and so has DD and X2b being a tosser!!

Anyway all better now and Max has finally arrived!!!

He came rocket fast on Thursday morning at 0.44 after 4 pushes and no contractions at all just hideous bottom pains and just enough time to get some pethidine on board and a bit of gas and air - my longed for epidural was shelved when the staff realised that I wasn't being a big girl and just making a fuss and had gone from 2cms to 10 in 50 minutes!!

Whole thing started on Sunday really when I was taken in with a migraine without any pain just numbness, blurred vision and loss of speech and then sent home - waters then broke on Monday evening and was in again on Tuesday and told to go home and come back for induction on Wednesday morning - in all day nothing happening DP and BP/BF sent home at 8pm and then at 9.30 I started having pains in my bpottom which gradually got worse - told midwives and they poo pooed me and then they got really bad so I rang DP and told him to get to the hospital as they weren't listening to me - then someone came and everything happened super quick - me begging for drugs and especially an epidural, midwife shouting at me saying that I couldn't have one as there was no time and I needed to push now (which was news to me as I thought I had hours to go!!!! - AAARRRGGGHHH!!!) BF saying that she was taking gas and air away and I was to concentrate and me just looking at DP who was engrossed staring at the business end watching Max come into the world - god it was all so strange!!

Anyway he came into the world at 0.44am weighing 8.8lb (huge compared to DD!!) and very long - he is the image of DP but without the glasses, has loads of black hair and seems to take great delight in straining and passing wind so just like his dad!!!

DD loves him and other than the first night we were home he has been a little angel and slept really well, is feeding really nicely and everything is rosey!!

There it is - sorry to post and run but he is wanting feeding now - I will sit and catch up as soon as I can - all are welcome to visit when you want just give me a call - Anorak has my home telephone no!!

Love to you all. (Oh his middle name is Elliot after all the discussions!!)
