SHE'S FINALLY HERE!!!!
Cathryn Willow Sargeant!
Born at 4.52pm on the 20th December,Weight 7lbs 7.
She's got loads of spiky "highlighted" blonde,red and light blonde hair and her eyes look green at the momment but that could change.
She looks like Ben but has my nose grin and seems to have his personality too.She's gorgeous but then again I'm biased :D
The birth was "fairly easy" harder than I expected in some places and easier in others.
10 and 1/2hours from my waters going to her being born and 22mins in the actual pushing stage
I don't think anything prepares you for the baby's head crowning though OUCH!!!
I didn't realise I was in Labour till my waters broke and my contractions were every 10 mins.I think I'd have waited even longer if my waters hadn't gone!!
We arrived at Helme Chase(midwife-led birth centre about hour away)with my contractions every 2 mins apart(after 1st being checked over at Lancaster our local hospital)lol nearly had her in M&S carpark as we got lost in Kendal's one way system!!
I was already 4cm dilated when we arrived, got in the birth pool(which I recommend to anyone!)at 6cm (aprox 1hr later)and at 4.52 she was born!!!
Managed with just Gas and Air,the pool and Ben's(my partner)back massages!!!
Think I'd have been screaming for the epidural if i hadn't had the pool!!!
