Letting work know

Hi all,

I will be informing work that I am expecting probably in January. I won't be 20 weeks until end of Feb (I think).

Do I have to wait to get my B1 form before I have to let work know or can I let them know a couple of weeks before as long as it's in writing?

I'm currently 7 weeks pregnant and due in July.

Thank you x

You can let them know before you get your matb1 form, and then you can have time off for appointments. The Matb1 form sort of formalises it, with a due date, and then your employer can calculate your qualifying period for maternity pay etc.

Thank you @SickAndTiredAgain I did wonder. I will have to have a couple of days off before 20 weeks when I get the form.
