Scared about telling parents!

Hello!

So I currently have a 14 month old... I'm currently pregnant& we have decided to keep it quiet until 24 weeks due to complications with our previous pregnancy which we were referred to a specialist& told we may potentially have to terminate the pregnancy. We have the all clear for this one!

So, the time has come to tell my parents. I'm 23& I'm absolutely petrified. Previously, they weren't to happy when I was pregnant at 21... they came round a few days later. At that point, I didn't have a place to live& the father didn't have a job. This time round we have a 3 bed house, secure job& really looking forward to the next step.

I'm just so scared to tell them to get a negative reactionSad. We are self isolating, so it'll have to be done by phone/ texts. Any ideas please? Or even a bit of support.

Thank you Daffodil

I think you should talk on the phone. Even if they are not thrilled I think they will see it as happy news eventually, especially when the baby is born. Just tell them gently and that you are happy about it and leave it at that. If they say anything negative try and roll with it and not feel angry with them. They may have bigger worries just now. What ever they feel whats done is done, a child is created, good luck

I have always been scared to tell my parents about being pregnant, and I'm in my 30s. Ive always told my mum through text, she then tells my dad.
