Thought I would put a quick birth announcement here as there are so few left on the August thread (hurry up everyone else!).

I was induced on my due date due to worries about LO getting large. Had waters broken at 2.30pm, asked for an epidural at about 3pm. Couldn't sit up long enough to have it sited - tried not to cry about having to have a natural labour!

Euan George born at 4.06pm on 28/8, after 1 hour 26 minutes of labour (6 minutes of pushing). He weighed a very slight 9 lb 7 oz (so much for him being huge!).

Got home about 5 hours after having him - very sureal!

Congratulations loler! Slight at 9lb 7oz!? My lo was eye watering enough at 7lb 2oz!! Congrats on the natural birth, I'm going for the epidural next time that's for sure! Hope you and baby are doing well. xxx

Congrats loler, you have admiration after pushing out a "slight" whopper in 6 mins. Enjoy him!

Ps. Bananabump hope you have more luck getting an epidural than I did! I was adamant I was having epidural this time and I was talked out of it for 3 hours then too far gone to have one! Have to admit though, birth was really quick, only 2 mins of pushing and was quite glad I didnt have one (although I wouldnt admit this to the midwives)

Congratulations to you and your family, big baby (ouch) well done. Thanks for sharing.

cantseemyfeet.... why were they trying to talk you out of it? As for me, to be honest I'd prefer an elective section so an epidural would be the very least I'd accept!

What a lovely name.

I'll keep you posted on the weight of my LO. x x
