Telling work im pregnant

Hi everyone i was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
I have been at my job 8 months and found out i am over two months pregnant. I am so scared to tell my boss as she hasnt been the kindest to another pregnant member of staff. I know i have to be there 26 weeks which i have already to claim SMP.

I just feel like if i tell them now i will have the next 5 months dealing with their negativity about it.

If your boss will be horrible wait until you absolutely have to tell her (in my work its 3 months notice) then just try your best to ignore any bad feelings. You've done nothing wrong and if she makes you feel like you have go to HR.

Or tell when it becomes very obvious! If she asks why you didnt tell her earlier admit you were worried about animosity due to the attitude towards the other staff member.

First time I’d just started a new role (same employer) and told my boss really early as I was tired and wanted her to know why (and that I wasn’t a crap hire). She was super lovely and then proceeded to screw me over at every opportunity (being passed over for promotion/not being told about opportunities/not being offered interviews despite being as qualified or more than others - the usual). She was a nightmare about coming back part time (even though we had restructured and I had a different boss by then). With my second pregnancy I handed my MAT B1 in at 20+ weeks or whenever. I mean, of course they knew/suspected. But you don’t have to tell them for a long time

You have to tell them by 25 weeks, and I'd do it a little earlier so that you can get proof of receipt by then. But if you leave it till the last minute make absolutely sure all the paperwork is in order when you submit.
But in your situation I wouldn't do it anywhere near this early.

Prepare an email formally informing her of your pregnancy. “Dear xxx, just to confirm my news, I am pregnant and my estimated due date is xxx”. To her but blind copied to your mum or sister.
Tell her your news in a meeting, then come out and hit send immediately.
That way, the fact that you have told them is legally recorded.

I've been in my job since end of March and had miscarriage at the end of june which my boss knows about as I was off work as I had to go into hospital.
Im dreading telling them I'm pregnant as I have no idea what the reaction is going to be. She was nice about my miscarriage but worried she wont be happy I'm pregnant as I've not long been there.
Any advice on the best way to break the news as the office is open plan so no where to talk in private.
