Grace Elizabeth was born today. Unfortunately the spinal block didn't work and MM had to have a general anesthetic and was feeling rather groggy but otherwise, mum and baby are doing well and MM says she hopes to be back running by friday

Only joking

Probably friday week !!!!!

Congrats! Beautiful names - I have an Elizabeth Grace, so I'm a bit biased tho!

Thats lovely

I've just heard from Marathonmum. They only realised the spinal block hadn't worked when they cut her and she told then she could feel it . She's feeling much better today but I think yesterday is a day she'd rather forget the details off.

Oh, God! I had a failed spinal with ds1, but luckily it didnt get that far before they redid it. Sorry, I meant to put a bit more on here yesterday, but was in a hurry. Please give mm my best wishes; I'm so pleased to hear she's fine. I have no doubt that she really will be running by the end of the week

Congratulations.

June 19th Great day to have a baby it was my ds 3rd bday!!

podglet · 20/06/2007 15:07

Congrats to her - I had exactly the same thing - epidural went in too high and I felt the cutting, so know exactly how she feels

Beautiful name - DS was to be an Elizabeth had he been a DD!

unfortunately for Marathonmum, she has been sick throughout the pregnancy and then the GA made her even more sick. I've just spoken to her again though and she's feeling great now, up and about and coming home friday hopefully.

Oh, the poor thing. Congratualtions on the birth of Grace....that's a beautiful name!

mckenzie · 21/06/2007 16:29

I went to see MarathonMum this afternoon. baby Grace is gorgeous and certainly got my hormones going Broody or what?

MM is feeling much better now and chomping at the bit to come home tomorrow. Although as she has a house full of builders I'm not sure that's such a good thing. Her builders will just be getting flashes of boob while she feeds Grace rather than offers of a cup of tea
