charlotte mina, due 14th july, born 13th june, 6.32pm, 6lb 15.5oz.
felt unwell in morning, backache and cramps, went to day assessment, told baby well, pain due to uti, not labour, no dilation at noon, sent home.
felt worse in early afternoon, had bath, 2 paracetamol, tried to rest. could not get comfy so at half three set off back to day assessment. on arrival at hosp pains were about every 4-5 mins and making me scream, so admitted to delivery, apologising in case it was uti and/or bowel trouble and i was wasting time. at 4.15 or 4.30 ish was told 6cm dilated. tried a few puffs of g&a but not much use so kept on screaming and delivered at 6.32
Charlotte has been in scbu but is now on ard with me and we might be allowed home tomorrow, fingers crossed.
