After being adament that I wasn't going to be induced again, in the likely event I went up to 42 weeks. I gave birth to Emma Rose on Saturday 2nd July, only 4 days past due date Yeyyy!!

Woke up aroun 3ish Saturday morning wondering if I may be having contractions but wasn't sure as it was all very low in my back but timed when these pains were coming which were between 3 and 5 mins so I thought after 45 mins hmmm aye maybe they are. I drove round to my folks house with the girls and my mum and I got to hospital around 4.30am. I was sure they would send me home as the contarctions weren't to bad. The midwife examined me and she then pointed out that I was 6 cm dialated . Anyway I kept getting offered G&A but didn't fancy it but as things progressed and I felt like I wanted to die I had some and found that it was like a best friend for a fair while. The pushing stage came and I turned into a wild woman. I know what people mean now when they say it feels like a blow torch being held to your bits and bobs after always being numbed up by the pushing stage I can honestly say I won't ever be doing that again. Anyway at 7:31am Saturday morning my gorgeous baby arrived weighing 8lb 6.5oz.

Congratulations My3Girls.

Congratulations. A beautiful name.

It seems 3rd babies like to buck the trend. I went 13 and 14 days over respectively with dd and ds1, but ds2 only needed an extra 5 days. Felt positively EARLY!

Thanks everyone

Awwww congrats My3.
I remember saying, after dd1, ds2, ds3 and ds4, 'I won't ever be doing that again'.

Welcome to Emma Rose and congratulations to you all.

Absolutley fab isn't it purpleturtle. It had been one of my great worrys during pregancy as I knew she would definetly be my last baby and I so desperatly wanted to feel what it felt like to go into labour natural and hopefully not have any intervention which happened. It was amazing but am still cringing now about that pushing stage LOL.
