George Frasier arrived at 4:22 am, 8lb 11oz with 1,000,000 gallons of waters.

He's Fab, I survived.

Far to traumatised to recount the story now will update when I can.

Huge Congrats LTH

Sounds like you had a god awful time but it is over now, George is here, he is happy and he is healthy, that's all that matters.

Have a feeling the words "Never Ever Again" may spring to mind, they certainly did with me.

Congratulations to you and all the Topham Hatts.

Sorry you had a rough time, but as you say, he's here now and you are both healthy.

He is beautiful, welcome little George.

Fimbo · 17/01/2007 13:30

Congratulations LTH

sunnysideup · 17/01/2007 13:36

LTH, well done indeed for coping with that scary experience in labour. Save this thread and look at it if you do start to second guess yourself about the breastfeeding - I want to say it sounds like a shocking experience and YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING GIVING BOTTLES!!!!!!!

You are calm, the baby will be calm, so you are doing the right thing.

Don't second guess yourself about it - if you could do BF at the moment you would - you can't, therefore you are doing the BEST thing!

Your post was brilliant, the way you describe the labour; it has reminded me just how shocking and traumatic the pain of labour was.....

Well done for getting George here despite the horrendous pain.

Love the name!

anorak · 17/01/2007 13:37

sassy · 17/01/2007 14:14

LTH, congratulations. xx.

skiwear · 17/01/2007 16:19

thought I'd said this earlier congrats 4 boys lucky you. DOn't worry about the breast feeding it happens for some and not others I'm sure he will thrive anyway.

mrsdarcy · 17/01/2007 16:26

Congratulations LTH

I had a delivery a bit like that - fine until they broke my waters. I honestly thought I was going to lose my mind. The memory does fade though.

x

motherinferior · 17/01/2007 16:28

Oh sweetie, I'm so glad that's over.

Booboobedoo · 17/01/2007 16:38

Huge congratulations!! I know I don't 'know' you, but I remember your BFP, as I was on the conception boards then.

So glad he's here and safe in the world.

Lovely name too!

sweetkitty · 17/01/2007 16:39

Congratulations LTH!

Glad he came without induction but sorry it was so horrifying. Hope you are both doing well and are not too knackered already!

morningpaper · 17/01/2007 20:20

God it sounds AWFUL I'm so sorry

those big babies and those weeny fanjos

I tell you, it ain't right

WideWebWitch · 17/01/2007 20:20

Bloody hell LTH, that sounds scary. I know what it's like to feel traumatised by a birth: dd's was very brutal and shocking and I couldn't even talk about it or think about it for a few days afterwards without crying. I bottlefed her too, fk it, DON'T feel guilty, sometimes you can only do what you can do and being nice to yourself is important right now. Well done, it's over.

Btw, I wonder if there's something in this being scared beforehand = bit of a job of a birth because I was terrified before dd too, I wonder if our bodies do know, somehow, that it's not going to be an easy time? (I know it's never that easy but ykwim) I was like one of those dogs turning round and round and round in its basket to get comfortable and I think you were a bit like that weren't you?

Anyway, I may be talking bollocks and it may not be relevant but I wanted to post it in case it helped.

Well done, enjoy the blessed relief!

Bubble99 · 17/01/2007 20:31

Good God, girl! That sounds like one hell of a birth.

But he'e here. And you're both OK.
I'll CAT if that's OK. I'd love to come and see you when you're feeling up to it and compare notes on the '4 boys thang.'

Rest up and enjoy him.

Wilbur · 17/01/2007 20:37

Congratulations, LTH, and welcome to George Frasier! Lovely name. Sorry the birth was so traumatic (brought some memories of ds1's birth back to me - I sympathise) but gald to hear you are both throug it okay. Take care and enjoy your new boy.
