hope elizabeth hancock was born at 12.56am on wednesday 25th october weighing in at 8lbs.
after countless sweeps and four lots of prostin gel over 2 days labour got cracking. i jumped from nothing to contractions every one and a half minutes from the moment they put the last prostin in. we then spent 5 hours wrestling with contractions minute and a half long and often coming in runs of 10 with no break-ow! and of all horrors, no progress beyond 4 cms .i then accepted an epidural was the only way forward. immediately, dilated to 6cm in a haze of lovely drugs plus amniotomy. hope was born 5 and a half hours later. i already am thinking that wasn't so bad was it despite the epesiotmy and tears and stitches . just looking at her makes me want to fall over with love
