Was present at the birth of my Grandson at 3am this morning. My daugher had a show at 10am yesterday then mild contractions until her water broke at 11pm, went to the Hospital with her and her partner and after only four hours there son was born! Her first child, she was brilliant, only had gas and air and was really really brave, I salute her! She did everything right during her pregnancy, kept fit, didn't put on too much weight, walked, swam, drank raspberry leaf tea for the last seven weeks and had some reflexology on Thursday, so maybe all these things helped her have a quick first birth. I had the honour of cutting his cord and the whole experience, although traumatic seeing my daughter in so much pain and not being able to do anything, was one I will never ever forget and was really wonderful. She put him straight on the breast and he suckled immediately. So welcome to Frankie John Atkins. We love you so much already.
