Well after a week spent in limbo of thinknig something was happening, George Henry was finally born @ 38 weeks weighing 9lb 6oz.
I woke up on Sunday morn and had a small gush with my waters going, then started with contractions which progressively got worse, went to maternity assessment unit and was told i was 3cm dilated.
I was booked in for a section on Friday 11th August but obviously George had other ideas lol, so the section was done and George came into the world at 3.15pm on Sunday 6th August.
The section was ok, but once the spinal was done i got the shakes quite severe so was given something to stop them, they got the baby out within 5 mins but then my BP dropped and i was very close to fainting was also vomiting quite badly, again was given something through my drip and felt fine again.
Once taken to recovery room, George started making grunting noises so there was concerns about his breathing, his oxygen levels were checked and were slightly low but fortunately picked up after a few hours so he didn't need to go to the neonatal unit, then they realised his blood sugar was too low (should have been above 2.6 but was 1.5) so there was talks again of his going to neonatal unit and having a tube in his stomach...again fortunately once i started feeding him more regulary his blood sugars raised so that panic was over.
He has a bit of jaundice, but other than that is perfect and very content and very very cute!!!
His sister adores him, as do us all. Last night he had a feed at 11pm then slept till 3am and was back asleep for 3.45am and didn't wake till 7.30 so we all managed to get a decent sleep lol.
I am fine, very stiff but MW very pleased with my scar, no redness and is healing perfectly, only very slight bruising, which is good as with the panic of everything i forgot to take my arnica to hospital so didn't take it at all
Thankyou to everyone who gave me advice on my thread in child birth, and all those who posted to say congrats
