Matthew Colin arrived at 39+4 on the 18/07/06 at 9:44am weighting 7lb 8.

Woke at 1:00am with strong pain after mild contractions every 15 minutes since 8:00pm on DS's birthday. Went from every 15mins to every 2mins within an hour. Went to hospital then and the birth centre (which is what we wanted this time), by 5:00am fully dilated and pushing, waters breaking at the end. Baby wasn't descending after an hour of pushing and pain getting worse. Midwife concerned so transfered to delivery suite to find baby was looking the wrong way and was stuck. Straight into theatre as they weren't sure they could turn him, and if not would be a c-section. Spinal block just in case (wonderful pain relief) and forcep delivery. Lots of stiches and bruising so sitting, moving, etc. is painful but all worth it. Matthews forcep marks have already gone and DS keeps kissing him and trying to hold him.

Glad it is all over even though didn't get the delivery we wanted, but luckly managed to avoid a c-section again , just!!!!
