Hi everyone.
Well am home today with my new little girl. Here's our story.
I had planned for a homebirth from the moment I knew I was pg. So I was little concerned when my Bp started to rise last week.
On Tuesday my MW came to check me and not only was my Bp high but I had protein in my wee. I headed off to Day assesment on tuesday afternoon where my BP was recorded at 160/100. They kept me in when my blood results came back with something wrong. Stayed in all day Wednesday and my Bp was still high. So they decided to induce me on Thursday.
After checking my cervix they hoped they could just burst my waters to get me going. My waters were broken at about 10:10am and little Jasmine arrived at 11:56am. I was high as a kite on Gas and air and had the shakes but others am fine.
They had to keep me in for observation overnite and we came home today at 12ish.
My two girls love their new little sister to bits, and obviously we are over the moon. Although obviously dissapointed at not getting the birth I wanted.
Jasmine has settled in well. She is 5llbs and 12 ounzes. Breast feeding well at the moment. And is a lovely quiet, contented baby. Although she is only a day old so that may change.
She is soo tiny, but perfect in every way. We are soo pleased.
