My little sweetheart Seren Rebekah Elizabeth Prosser arrived after 48 hours of labour and an emergency c section (her cord was wrapped 4 times round her neck, poor thing)
I'm now feeling much less sore despite having got an infection in the wound, due to hot weather apparently. On antibiotics, so can't breastfeed, but am expressing regularly so I can continue bf after the tablets finish. Hopefully that'll work!
Both dh and I are still reeling after baby coming home, noone can prepare you for the sleep deprivation and how totally dependent they are on you....but we're getting used to it a bit now. Nice to be able to get my cooler clothes back on and my wedding ring too!!! Will try to put a pic of her on here but not sure how at the mo.

Big congrats to you and your new family, and welcom to Seren.
about the cord around her neck 4 times

Congrats Rachel, Welcome to Seren (How do you pronounce that?)

Kept thinking of you. Glad your section went well.

Congratulations and welcome to Seren . Interested to know why you can't breastfeed on antibiotics though - it is usually possible.

Congratulations on the birth of Seren, Rachel , especially after a difficult labour and that worrying cord complication.
Agree with Mears that I hope you have not been wrongly advised about antibiotics and breastfeeding. I was OKed to do so while still on an augmentin drip after a c-section.
Hope she continues to bring you both many happy hours

Midwife was a bit cross when she found out the Doctor had put me on this particular type of antibiotics. She said that he could have put me on tablets that I would have been able to b/f with but he did assure me that they were the right tyoe of antibiotics for the infection I had. MW said that if it'd been something she'd been able to take a swab of she'd have been able to get it tested and prescribe a/b for it. But by this point I'd already started taking the other tablets...was v concerned about things in there getting infected!!! Yuck
